human-auth-biometric

human-auth-biometric is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from pockebot/openpocket. It costs 24 tokens per session (427 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A procedure for handling fingerprint or face-recognition checks when an emulator has no biometric hardware. It asks a person to approve the sensitive action or uses an available password, PIN, or emulator simulation fallback.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for responding to biometric prompts, requesting human approval, dismissing the prompt to find another sign-in method, or using emulator fingerprint simulation when available.
Why use it?
It provides a way through login, payment, or account actions that software alone cannot confirm on a device without biometric hardware.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00427
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00214
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00085
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00043

Security

Grade A, and why

human-auth-biometric scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Human Auth: Biometric

Use this when an app requires biometric authentication (fingerprint, face recognition) that the emulator cannot provide.

When to Trigger

  • App shows a fingerprint or face recognition dialog.
  • App requires biometric confirmation for a sensitive action (payment, account access).
  • Emulator shows "No biometric hardware detected" or similar.

How to Call

request_human_auth(
  capability: "biometric",
  instruction: "App requires biometric authentication. Please confirm this action.",
  uiTemplate: {
    title: "Biometric Confirmation Required",
    summary: "The app needs fingerprint/face verification. Approve to confirm."
  }
)

What You Receive

  • Usually no artifact — just an approval/rejection signal.
  • status: approved means the human confirmed the biometric action.

How to Apply

Biometric prompts on the emulator typically cannot be bypassed programmatically. Options:

  1. Dismiss and retry: Press Back to dismiss the biometric dialog, then look for a "Use password instead" or "Use PIN" fallback option. Enter the fallback credentials.

  2. Emulator fingerprint simulation (if available):

    shell("adb -s <device> emu finger touch 1")

    This simulates a fingerprint touch on some emulator versions.

  3. If no fallback exists: The flow may be blocked on the emulator. Report this to the user.

Tips

  • Most apps that use biometrics also offer a PIN/password fallback. Look for it.
  • On emulators with enrolled fingerprints, emu finger touch 1 can simulate a successful scan.
  • Real devices with actual biometric hardware would need the human to physically authenticate — this is the primary use case for this delegation.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

human-auth-biometric is a skill published in the GitHub repository pockebot/openpocket (841 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 24 tokens to every session and 427 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
