spk-mission-plan

spk-mission-plan is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Priivacy-ai/spec-kitty. It costs 29 tokens per session (218 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A planning workflow that turns a completed Spec Kitty specification into an implementation plan. The plan covers system structure, data movement, risks, interfaces, testing, rollout, and needed migrations.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when a mission has a finished specification and needs an architecture and implementation strategy.
Why use it?
It makes the work and its trade-offs explicit before coding starts, while sending unresolved research or specification issues to the appropriate phase.

About the project

Spec Kitty is an open-source command-line tool that turns product requirements into a repository-based workflow for AI-assisted software development. It stores specifications, plans, tasks, acceptance criteria, reviews, and merge decisions in Git while giving agents isolated git worktrees for parallel implementation. The catalogue add-ons support the project's workflows for coordinating agents and governing their work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00029 $0.00218
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00109
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00044
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00022

Security

Grade A, and why

spk-mission-plan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

spk-mission-plan

Use this skill when a mission has a spec and needs an implementation plan.

Flow

  1. Invoke /spec-kitty.plan against the active mission.
  2. Ground the plan in the spec and existing repo architecture.
  3. Make tradeoffs explicit: interfaces, data flow, migration needs, tests, rollout, and risks.
  4. Route research gaps to spk-mission-research.
  5. Route unclear mission type or workflow questions to spk-mission-types.
  6. For non-trivial architecture, data/control flow, boundaries, migrations, or risky interactions, load spk-doctrine-show-me and use diagrams where they materially reduce prose.

Guardrail

Do not let the plan silently change functional requirements. If the plan discovers a spec issue, return to spk-mission-specify.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
