spk-team-tracker

spk-team-tracker is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Priivacy-ai/spec-kitty. It costs 25 tokens per session (262 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for connecting Spec Kitty to project trackers and managing tracker synchronization. A project tracker is a service that stores and follows work items such as tasks or issues.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect tracker status, discover supported tracker services, bind a project to a tracker, route hosted updates, and diagnose tracker-related failures.
Why use it?
It helps confirm which project and tracker are active before sending work between local and hosted systems. It also routes login, transport, and offline problems to the right recovery process.

About the project

Spec Kitty is an open-source command-line tool that turns product requirements into a repository-based workflow for AI-assisted software development. It stores specifications, plans, tasks, acceptance criteria, reviews, and merge decisions in Git while giving agents isolated git worktrees for parallel implementation. The catalogue add-ons support the project's workflows for coordinating agents and governing their work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00025 $0.00262
Opus 5 $0.00013 $0.00131
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00052
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00026

Security

Grade A, and why

spk-team-tracker scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

spk-team-tracker

Use this skill when the user asks about tracker setup, tracker sync, tracker binding, hosted tracker routing, or tracker diagnostics.

Flow

  1. Inspect tracker status and service discovery output.
  2. Confirm the active project and tracker binding.
  3. Use hosted sync only when the workflow requires it.
  4. Route auth failures to spk-team-auth.
  5. Route transport/offline replay failures to spk-team-sync.

Local Dev Note

When testing tracker-hosted flows from the CLI on this computer, opt into hosted mode with SPEC_KITTY_ENABLE_SAAS_SYNC=1. The flag gates tracker invocation only; it does not restore the removed standalone sync transport. Prefer writing it once into .kittify/.kitty.env (repo-scoped) or ${SPEC_KITTY_HOME}/.kitty.env (machine-wide) over a per-shell export — a shell export arms every project that shell subsequently touches, not just the one you're testing. Run spec-kitty doctor env-file to confirm which tier is active.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
