Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00015 $0.00555
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00222
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00056

Measured today against content hash b234297fa62f, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

mission-control-coding-standards scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 63 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Mission Control Coding Standards

TypeScript

  • Always use TypeScript (no JavaScript in src/)
  • noImplicitAny: false (migrated Electron code — accept any where needed)
  • Explicit return types on API functions
  • Use Promise<T> not Promise<any> where type is known

Module Pattern

Each feature is a module in src/modules/:

src/modules/{name}/
├── module.json # id, name, description, enabled
├── index.ts # re-exports
└── views/ # React components

API Routes

  • Use getDb() from @/lib/database — singleton, never create new Database()
  • Always handle errors with try/catch, return NextResponse.json({ error }, { status: 500 })
  • Use async params: { params }: { params: Promise<{ id: string }> } then await params
  • Column names are camelCase (migrated schema): assignedTo, createdAt, agentId

Zustand Stores

  • Use zustand/middleware persist for UI state
  • Actions are synchronous where possible
  • API calls in actions, not in components

Styling

  • TailwindCSS only — no inline styles
  • Dark theme default: bg-gray-900 text-gray-100
  • Buttons: bg-emerald-700 hover:bg-emerald-600
  • Borders: border-gray-700

Database

  • DB path: ~/mission-control/data/mission-control.db
  • Always use the singleton: import getDb from '@/lib/database'
  • Schema changes must be applied via npx tsx tools/migrate-db.js

ENV Imports

Always import environment variables via src/lib/env.ts, never read process.env directly in components or routes:

import { ENV } from '@/lib/env';
const libraryPath = ENV.LIBRARY_PATH;

Library Output

Agent-produced files MUST go to ~/mission-control/library/ (correct subfolder by type):

  • Code → library/code/ or library/projects/{name}/code/
  • Research → library/docs/research/
  • Design → library/design/{ui,images,media}/
  • See CLAUDE.md Agent → Library Routing table for full mapping

Testing

  • Vitest for unit tests (*.test.ts)
  • Test files next to source: foo.ts + foo.test.ts
  • Always test business logic functions

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
