Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00029 | $0.00837 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00335 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00167 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00084 |
Grade A, and why
web-research scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 104 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Web Research
Purpose
Produce well-sourced, credible research by following a structured search-and-synthesis loop. Avoid single-source conclusions, validate claims across sources, and always surface contradictions rather than hiding them.
Trigger Conditions
Load this skill when:
- Assigned a task that requires gathering information from external sources
- Asked to investigate a company, product, technology, or market
- Comparing multiple approaches, tools, or vendors
- Fact-checking a claim or assumption
- Building a competitive landscape or market overview
Procedure
Step 1 — Define Scope
Before searching, write out:
- The primary research question (one sentence)
- Sub-questions to answer (max 5)
- What "done" looks like (deliverable type: report, comparison table, summary)
- Time horizon: current data only, or historical also?
Step 2 — Keyword Planning
Identify 3–5 search query variants:
- Narrow and specific ("Solana DEX volume Q4 2024")
- Broad and exploratory ("DEX market share 2024")
- Alternative framing ("decentralized exchange trends crypto")
Avoid duplicate queries. Cover different angles of the same question.
Step 3 — Primary Search Pass
Use WebSearch or WebFetch to gather sources:
- Run each query variant
- Collect the 3 most relevant results per query
- Note: URL, title, publication date, and a 1-sentence relevance summary for each
Do not write conclusions yet. Gather first.
Step 4 — Source Evaluation
Before citing any source, evaluate:
| Criterion | Check |
|---|---|
| Recency | Is it current enough for this question? |
| Authority | Is the source credible (official docs, reputable publications, primary data)? |
| Bias | Does the source have an obvious agenda? |
| Specificity | Does it address the actual question, or just adjacent topics? |
Discard sources that fail 2+ criteria.
Step 5 — Deep Read & Note-Taking
For each retained source:
- Extract 3–5 key facts or data points
- Note any caveats or conflicting signals the source itself raises
- Tag:
CONFIRMED(seen in 2+ independent sources) orUNVERIFIED(single source only)
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

web-research is a skill published in the GitHub repository ProfFroggo/froggo-mission-control (2 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 837 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
