axom-memory

axom-memory is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from PugzUI/axom. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,168 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A memory and reflection tool for searching stored knowledge, connecting related information, and reconsidering earlier conclusions. It can also record creative ideas and lessons from reasoning.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find relevant past information, explore related ideas, reflect on decisions, and store useful knowledge for later tasks.
Why use it?
It reduces repeated searching and helps an agent avoid acting on thin context or overlooking better approaches.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.01168
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00584
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00234
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00117

Measured 4d ago against content hash 5136220f7a78, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

axom-memory scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Axom Memory Skill

Memory tool that challenges itself, other agents, and users. Re-think. Seek optimal solutions. Improves creativity and focus. Use for self-reflection, knowledge exploration, deepthink, dreams.

⚠️ Core Mandate

Axom memory is not a key-value store. It challenges itself, other agents, and users to re-think and seek optimal solutions. Via self-reflection, knowledge exploration, and dreams.

What Axom Memory Does Uniquely

Capability How
Search & refine Search → Reflect → Search again
Knowledge graphs Associate memories
Creative ideas Dreams for experiments; reflex for heuristics
Self-reflection What did you learn about your own reasoning?

Workflow: Search → Act → Reflect → Store

1. TASK START: Search with Imagination

Never act blind. Search first. If results feel thin, search again with different terms. Combinatorial exploration:

axom_mcp_memory(action="search", query="[domain] [terms]", limit=5)
→ has_reflex: true? Use reflex shortcut (see axom-reflex)
→ No hits? Refine: synonyms, broader terms, related concepts
→ Some hits? Search associated memories; use tags from results
→ Still stuck? Search dreams: memory_type="dreams"
→ Still thin? Web fallback runs automatically

Search response: Includes has_reflex (branch without parsing) and reflection_excerpt per result (re-think from prior agent).

Parameters:

Param Use
query Be specific. Then creative. Multiple angles.
limit 5 focused; 10+ when exploring
memory_type dreams for wild ideas; reflex for heuristics
tags Narrow by prior categorization

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

axom-memory is a skill published in the GitHub repository PugzUI/axom (1 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,168 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
