ooo

ooo is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Q00/ouroboros. It costs 35 tokens per session (197 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An onboarding instruction for Ouroboros, a coding-agent workflow. It starts when someone sends “ooo” or uses Ouroboros for the first time and requires a status line at the end.

In plain words
What is it for?
Starting an Ouroboros session, loading its welcome instructions, and formatting the final response with the required state breadcrumb.
Why use it?
It gives first-time users a defined entry point and keeps the agent’s current state visible. It also prevents the session from ending without a recommended next action.

About the project

Q00/ouroboros is an Agent OS for running coding agents through interviews, staged evaluation, and repeated improvement cycles. It helps developers turn vague requests into tested code across multiple agent runtimes. Its catalogue add-ons provide workflows, agents, hooks, instructions, and integrations for operating those processes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00035 $0.00197
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00098
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00039
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00020

Measured 5d ago against content hash d1f5855f8c34, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ooo scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Start Ouroboros

Read ../welcome/SKILL.md and follow its instructions exactly. This is the explicit Marketplace-plugin entry point for a bare ooo message before any runtime-specific setup has run.

Your final response MUST end with exactly one breadcrumb footer line:

◆ <current state> → next: <recommended action>

Derive <current state> from live session state via ouroboros_session_status when that MCP projection is available; otherwise derive it from this skill's actual outcome. Never use a linear Step N of M footer because Ouroboros is an evolutionary loop. The breadcrumb line must be the last line of the response.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ooo is a skill published in the GitHub repository Q00/ouroboros (5,765 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 35 tokens to every session and 197 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
