openproxy: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/openproxy-image/SKILL.md

openproxy-image is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from quangdang46/openproxy. It costs 112 tokens per session (5,389 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for generating and editing images through OpenProxy's image API. It explains which providers serve image requests and how models are named.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create or edit images, select the provider and model, and configure an additional OpenAI-compatible image endpoint.
Why use it?
It gives image-capable services a common route through OpenProxy instead of requiring separate provider-specific request formats. It also documents how to add a compatible custom image provider.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00112 $0.05389
Opus 5.5 $0.00045 $0.02156
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00022 $0.01078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00539

Security

Grade A, and why

openproxy-image scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 29d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

openproxy — image generation

OpenProxy exposes an OpenAI-compatible image API on 127.0.0.1:4623. One endpoint — POST /v1/images/generations — fans out to every provider that has a native image adapter, and falls through to a generic upstream forwarder for anything else. This skill covers:

  1. Calling the endpoint with a real request
  2. Addressing a model (<provider>/<model-id>) and finding the valid ids
  3. Which providers actually serve images
  4. Account rotation, OAuth refresh, and combos on this route
  5. Adding a brand-new image endpoint with a custom provider node
  6. Verifying the whole chain

Every command is non-interactive and copy-pasteable.

0 · Preflight

command -v openproxy && openproxy --version || echo "not installed"
curl -sS http://127.0.0.1:4623/health # liveness, no auth required

# Management + /v1 auth: the admin key from `openproxy server init`, or any
# key minted with `openproxy key add`.
export OPENPROXY_API_KEY="$(cat "$HOME/.openproxy/admin.key" 2>/dev/null || true)"

curl -sS http://127.0.0.1:4623/v1/models/image \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENPROXY_API_KEY"

If the server is not running: openproxy server start --detach --no-open. If /v1/* answers 401, the router's require_api_key setting is on (there is no REQUIRE_API_KEY env var — no code reads it) and the bearer is wrong — see .agents/skills/openproxy/SKILL.md §2.

/v1/* is gated on the require_api_key setting (default follows require_login; require_api_key setting). The management API under /api/* takes the same bearer via require_dashboard_or_management_api_key. One key works for both.

1 · The endpoint

Registered in src/server/api/mod.rs:

Route Handler Body
POST /v1/images/generations media::images_generations JSON
POST /v1/images/edits media::images_edits JSON
OPTIONS on both media::cors_options —

Both routes are also registered under a double prefix — /v1/v1/images/generations and /v1/v1/images/edits — so a client that already appends /v1 to a base URL still lands. Both handlers return Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

openproxy-image is a skill published in the GitHub repository quangdang46/openproxy (29 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 112 tokens to every session and 5,389 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-29.
