r3bl-open-core: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/audit-task/SKILL.md

audit-task is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from r3bl-org/r3bl-open-core. It costs 38 tokens per session (236 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A task-plan auditing workflow that reads a Markdown plan and asks a separate reasoning agent to inspect it in detail. It looks for bugs, contradictions, missing work, and unsafe or incorrect instructions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review a plan file and produce a systematic report of risks, inconsistencies, and missing features.
Why use it?
It provides a structured check before implementation, helping expose problems that a quick read may miss.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: mentions subagents; installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is r3bl-org/r3bl-open-core's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on r3bl-open-core itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything r3bl-open-core configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00038 $0.00236
Opus 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00094
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00047
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00024

Security

Grade A, and why

audit-task scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Audit Task

This skill is invoked when the user runs the /audit-task <file> slash command.

Procedure

  1. Read the provided <file> (which is typically a Markdown file in the task/ folder).
  2. Launch a subagent using the invoke_subagent tool with Model: "inherit". You can use an existing subagent like research, or define a new one for this specific purpose.
  3. The prompt for the subagent MUST instruct it to:
    • Read the plan in the provided <file>.
    • Audit the plan critically and exhaustively.
    • Look for bugs, inconsistencies, and missing features.
    • Identify any inaccurate, wrong, or dangerous steps/instructions.
    • Report its findings clearly and systematically.
  4. Wait for the subagent to complete its analysis.
  5. Present the subagent's findings to the user in a clear, structured report.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
