agentware: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/ci-cd-security-audit/SKILL.md

ci-cd-security-audit is a skill for Claude Code from r5rana/agentware. It costs 167 tokens per session (3,127 once invoked), scanned B, original, Apache-2.0.

A security review guide for CI/CD pipelines and agent integration points. CI/CD means automated systems that build, test, and deploy software.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit GitHub Actions and other pipeline files, deployment configuration, hooks, task runners, and MCP servers before shipping changes.
Why use it?
It helps identify injection, excessive permissions, secret theft, and unsafe handling of untrusted input in automation.

This is r5rana/agentware's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on agentware itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything agentware configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00167 $0.03127
Opus 5 $0.00084 $0.01563
Sonnet 5 $0.00033 $0.00625
Haiku 4.5 $0.00017 $0.00313

Security

Grade B, and why

ci-cd-security-audit scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Downgraded: this mod is about security review, or the phrase is quoted, so it is likely naming the pattern rather than instructing it.

CI/CD & Agent-Integration Security Audit

Portable Agent Skill (agentskills.io open standard). The YAML frontmatter above is the spec-compliant contract: name equals the folder name and description is the routing text. The body is HARNESS-AGNOSTIC — no hardcoded invocation syntax, no harness-only frontmatter. The baseline needs no network and no external scanners; it reads pipeline/config files and reasons about them. Optional deep tooling is noted but never required.

When to invoke: when auditing a CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, Buildkite, etc.), reviewing build/deploy scripts, or hardening the seams where an automation or agent runs with the repo's privileges — hooks, executors, task runners, and MCP servers. Trigger it before merging changes to .github/workflows/, .gitlab-ci.yml, Jenkinsfile, *.tf/deploy IaC that grants CI permissions, or any agent integration point (a hooks/ script, a tool executor, an MCP config). It is especially relevant to agentware itself, whose hooks and executor run shell with the operator's privileges.

Why this skill exists

CI/CD is a high-value, under-reviewed attack surface: a pipeline runs with write access to the repo, holds deploy credentials and registry tokens, and on many platforms executes on a trigger an outside contributor can fire (a pull request). A single unquoted ${{ github.event.* }} interpolation, an unpinned third-party action, or an over-scoped GITHUB_TOKEN can turn "run the tests" into "exfiltrate every secret and push a backdoor." The same logic applies to an agent's integration seams: a hook or executor that interpolates untrusted issue text, tool output, or web content into a shell command is a remote-code-execution path that runs with the operator's own privileges. This skill walks those files systematically so the high-impact, easy-to-miss flaws (script injection, poisoned pipeline execution, secret leakage, privilege escalation) surface as verified findings rather than latent risk.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ci-cd-security-audit is a skill published in the GitHub repository r5rana/agentware (24 stars, last pushed 21d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 167 tokens to every session and 3,127 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (downloads and executes remote code, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
