sorify-generate

sorify-generate is a skill for Claude Code from rakutentech/sorify. It costs 33 tokens per session (478 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A workflow that explores a web service and creates Playwright end-to-end tests in Sorify, a service for storing and running browser tests. It can use a target URL alone or combine it with a source repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to crawl a target service, create or reuse a Sorify test suite, store environment values as suite variables, upload generated tests, run them, and report the result.
Why use it?
It turns observed pages and, when available, source-code conditions into runnable tests instead of leaving exploration as a manual task. It also handles uploading the tests and starting a run.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.00478
Opus 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00191
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00096
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

sorify-generate scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Generate Sorify tests

Use this skill when the user asks to crawl or explore a service and create Playwright tests in Sorify. The user may provide a target URL and optionally a GitHub/GHE URL or local source path.

Workflow

  1. Extract the target service URL and optional source repository. If no target URL is present, ask for one.
  2. Confirm the Sorify MCP server is connected. The MCP connection uses SORIFY_URL plus credentials from ~/.sorify; never copy those connection credentials into Sorify suite variables.
  3. Clear the exploration browser session, then read and follow ../shared/explorer-instructions.md.
  4. Create or reuse a Sorify suite. Store target-webpage credentials and environment-specific values as suite variables, and reference them as variables.KEY in generated code.
  5. Generate DOM tests from the exploration result using ../shared/generator-patterns.md. For source-repository mode, also follow the analyzer/designer instructions and the mock generator patterns in the same shared directory.
  6. Upload all generated tests in one batch, including the actual model name in the ai_model field, trigger a run, poll its status, and report the result link and summary.

Use the connected Playwright MCP server for browser work and the connected Sorify MCP server for create_suite, get_suite, update_suite, bulk_create_tests, list_tests, get_test, update_test_code, trigger_run, and get_run_status. Use bulk_create_tests only for new test cases. When the user wants to revise an existing test case, follow the sorify-update skill so update_test_code creates a code-history version instead of a duplicate test. Tool prefixes vary by host; select the tools by server and tool name rather than assuming Claude's mcp__plugin_sorify_* namespace.

The original Claude command remains available at ../../commands/generate.md as the detailed compatibility reference.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

sorify-generate is a skill published in the GitHub repository rakutentech/sorify (50 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 33 tokens to every session and 478 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-16.
