health-checker

health-checker is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from RaNDoM6913/claude-code-superkit. It costs 29 tokens per session (1,197 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A project health dashboard that checks the detected programming stack for compilation, tests, TODOs, API specification drift, migrations, dependencies, security, documentation, and bundle issues.

In plain words
What is it for?
Inspecting Go, Node.js, Python, or Rust projects, along with database migrations, API specifications, documentation, dependencies, and build output.
Why use it?
It gathers common project checks in one report so problems are easier to spot than when running unrelated commands by hand.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00029 $0.01197
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00598
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00239
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00120

Measured 3d ago against content hash ff68d010bf95, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

health-checker scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Health Checker

Run a comprehensive health check across the entire project. Auto-detect the tech stack and report results as a dashboard.

Detection Strategy

Scan the project root to identify components:

  • go.mod — Go backend (use go vet, go test)
  • package.json — Node.js/frontend (use tsc, npm test, npm run build)
  • requirements.txt / pyproject.toml — Python (use mypy, pytest)
  • Cargo.toml — Rust (use cargo check, cargo test)
  • migrations/ — SQL migrations
  • **/openapi.yaml / **/swagger.json — API spec
  • docs/ — Documentation

Checks (run in parallel where possible)

1. Compilation Status

Auto-detect and run:

  • Go: go vet ./... 2>&1 | head -10
  • TypeScript: npx tsc --noEmit 2>&1 | head -10
  • Python: mypy . 2>&1 | head -10 (if mypy installed)
  • Rust: cargo check 2>&1 | head -10 Report: compiles clean / N errors

2. Test Status

Auto-detect and run:

  • Go: go test ./... -count=1 -short 2>&1 | tail -10
  • Node: npm test 2>&1 | tail -10 (if test script exists)
  • Python: pytest --tb=no -q 2>&1 | tail -5
  • Rust: cargo test 2>&1 | tail -10 Report: N tests pass / N failures

3. Stale TODOs

grep -rn "TODO\|FIXME\|HACK\|XXX" --include="*.go" --include="*.ts" --include="*.tsx" --include="*.py" --include="*.rs" --include="*.js" --include="*.jsx" . | grep -v node_modules | grep -v vendor | grep -v target

Report: count per category

4. API Spec Drift (if spec exists)

Compare registered routes against API spec file:

  • Find route registration files
  • Find OpenAPI/Swagger spec
  • List endpoints in code but not in spec (undocumented)
  • List endpoints in spec but not in code (stale) Report: N undocumented, N stale

5. Migration Consistency (if migrations exist)

# Check all up migrations have matching down migrations
for f in $(find . -path "*/migrations/*.up.sql" -o -path "*/migrations/*.up.*" 2>/dev/null); do
  down=$(echo "$f" | sed 's/\.up\./\.down\./');
  [ ! -f "$down" ] && echo "MISSING DOWN: $(basename $f)"
done

Report: N migration pairs, any missing rollbacks

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

health-checker is a skill published in the GitHub repository RaNDoM6913/claude-code-superkit (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 1,197 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
