Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
skillsmp-search scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

SkillsMP Skills Search
Search the SkillsMP marketplace (500K+ SKILL.md files harvested from GitHub) for an existing solution before building a new agent, command, or skill from scratch. Two modes: keyword search and AI semantic search.
Hard Rules
- Confirm
SKILLSMP_API_KEYis set before ANY call:[ -n "$SKILLSMP_API_KEY" ]. If empty/unset, do not call the API — show the setup message (Error Branches) and stop. Never fabricate results. - At most ONE keyword search + ONE AI search per topic. Never loop, retry, or paginate the same query hoping for better hits.
- Read a skill's GitHub source (
githubUrl) before recommending it — never recommend from the search snippet alone. - On any non-200 response (401/403, 429, other), take exactly the action in the Error Branches table — do not retry-loop, do not invent results.
- Zero results is a valid outcome — say so and proceed to build from scratch.
- Present results only in the Output Contract format below.
Phase 0 — Load Project Context
Read if present, skip silently if absent: CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md. Use it to ground the query in the project's real stack (e.g. search go reviewer, not reviewer, for a Go project). Do not read it more than once per session.
When to Use
- Before writing a new agent — search if someone already built it.
- Before writing a new skill — check for community solutions.
- When exploring patterns — see how others solved a similar problem.
- When the user asks — "find a skill for X", "is there a skill that does Y".
Process
- Preflight — run the key check (Hard Rule 1). Done-when: key confirmed present, or setup message shown and you stop.
- Keyword search — run the keyword endpoint. Handle any non-200 per Error Branches. Done-when: you have a results list or a handled error.
- AI search (conditional) — run ONLY when keyword results are poor/empty or the query is conceptual (e.g. "review code across multiple models"). Done-when: AI results obtained or keyword results judged sufficient.
- Verify — for each skill you intend to recommend, open its
githubUrland read the actual SKILL.md. Done-when: every recommended skill's source was read. - Present — emit the Output Contract. Done-when: results rendered, or the zero-result / error message shown.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

skillsmp-search is a skill published in the GitHub repository RaNDoM6913/claude-code-superkit (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 40 tokens to every session and 1,825 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
