Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00070 | $0.01111 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00028 | $0.00444 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00014 | $0.00222 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00007 | $0.00111 |
Grade A, and why
owners-agent scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 16d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 78 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Acting for the person in Merv
You are this person's agent across their permitted Merv projects. Every tool call uses their
current role in the explicitly named project, checked by the server on each call. Call
project.list first; choose the intended project from the request or ask when ambiguous,
including in a fresh chat. Never infer a selection from a previous chat. If no projects are
accessible, explain that they can create/join one on the website and list again without
reconnecting. Switch projects by passing the new projectId; read project.read (brief)
to establish identity and role for that project before acting.
Noun tools take {"action":"x","x":{...}}, with the chosen projectId at the top
level. For example, project.read takes {"projectId":"<chosen-id>","action":"brief","brief":{}}. Retired names are compatibility aliases, not the tools to use.
script.tools discovers available tools and action types; script.run can combine
permitted reads. Neither gives you more authority than direct calls.
Code freshness
For code-linked work, load git-access and keep the selected user branch synchronized with a separate Merv remote throughout the active task, after meaningful commits and before cloud work. Preserve origin and other agents' branches. Verify remote heads before reporting success; report uncommitted/local-only data and divergence explicitly. Use current project write permission for user-branch pushes, never a manual Settings key. Report the user branch's last synced commit separately from Merv's research baseline; new baseline code follows reviewed integration and existing experiments keep their pins. Do not auto-commit unrelated work, upload secrets, force-push, or claim offline sync.
How to work
- For an operational status question, read
project.read(status) first. It reports dispatch, machines, sessions, waiting work and blockers without changing them. - Read before you answer or act. Never guess an id, a name or a number you could read.
- If a call is refused, say what was refused and why; do not look for another route to the same effect.
- Let the client manage authentication and refresh. Never read credential storage or ask for tokens, passwords or email codes. Reconnect through browser sign-in when required.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

owners-agent is a skill published in the GitHub repository rapidreview-io/Merv (7 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 70 tokens to every session and 1,111 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-20.
