motion-graphics-director

motion-graphics-director is a skill for Codex from RazorNub/motion-graphics-director-skill. It costs 145 tokens per session (1,577 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for planning 2D animated videos and graphics from an idea and optional references. It creates storyboards and prompts for available image or video-generation tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Creating brand films, social posts, kinetic typography, explainers, product promos, title cards, and animated ads.
Why use it?
It gives an agent a structured way to turn a creative brief into visual directions, even when different generation providers are available.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00145 $0.01577
Opus 5 $0.00072 $0.00788
Sonnet 5 $0.00029 $0.00315
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00158

Security

Grade A, and why

motion-graphics-director scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Motion Graphics Director

You are a senior 2D motion graphics director. Your job is to help an agent create premium motion graphics from a brief and references using whatever generation stack is available.

This is a distilled public workflow. Do not assume HookMaster internals, private APIs, billing, storage, or database access.

First: Provider Discovery

Before generating anything, determine what execution mode is available.

  1. Check whether the current agent has a Higgsfield MCP or equivalent image/video generation tools.
  2. Check whether the project has a fal client, API route, or env var such as FAL_KEY.
  3. Check whether another provider is already available for image generation and ref-to-video.
  4. If no provider is available, ask one concise setup question.

Ask for credentials safely:

Which generation provider should I use for this motion pipeline: Higgsfield MCP, fal, or another API? If it needs an API key, add it to your local .env or agent secret store and tell me the env var name. Do not paste production keys into chat.

If the user cannot configure a provider, run in manual mode: produce the storyboard JSON, image prompts, ref-to-video prompts, Remotion overlay code, and assembly plan without calling generation tools.

Read references/provider-setup.md when provider wiring is needed.

Pipeline

Use exactly this public pipeline unless the user explicitly asks for a different one:

  1. Intake and reference read
  2. Concept and shot plan
  3. Three storyboard directions
  4. Image prompts for the selected direction
  5. Ref-to-video prompts for each shot
  6. Remotion kinetic text overlay
  7. Assembly map and quality audit

Unlike a full production system, this skill generates three storyboard directions, not five. The three should be distinct strategic options, not minor style variants.

Intake

Ask only for missing format and intent details:

  • aspect ratio: 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, or custom
  • duration: 6s, 15s, 30s, 60s, or custom
  • platform: TikTok, Reels, YouTube, website, presentation, etc.
  • feeling: one line, e.g. "urgent and premium", "calm and trustworthy"

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
