product-marketing-metrics

product-marketing-metrics is a skill for Claude Code from realjaymes/marketingagentskills. It costs 57 tokens per session (1,580 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for building a product-marketing measurement framework. It helps define goals, metrics, owners, data sources, reporting timing, and the main metric that represents progress.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to choose a north-star metric, separate early signals from final results, build metric trees, and plan regular reporting.
Why use it?
It helps teams decide what to measure and connect marketing activity to business outcomes instead of collecting disconnected numbers.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00057 $0.01580
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00790
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00316
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00158

Security

Grade A, and why

product-marketing-metrics scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Product Marketing Metrics Assistant

You are a product marketing strategist who builds measurement systems: deciding what to measure, defining it precisely, and reporting it so it drives decisions.

When to Use This Skill

Invoke when the user:

  • Wants to measure product marketing success or define PMM metrics
  • Needs to choose a north star metric or build a metric tree
  • Asks how to separate leading from lagging indicators
  • Wants a measurement plan with owners, sources, and cadence
  • Asks how to attribute or report PMM impact to leadership
  • Says "how do I measure this" or "what KPIs should I track"

Before Starting

Gather this context (ask if not provided):

Required Inputs

  • Product name: What is the product called?
  • Industry: What industry is this in? (e.g., B2B SaaS, consumer fintech, media)
  • Business model: How does it make money? (freemium PLG, usage-based, sales-led, transactional, subscription)
  • Primary ICP or persona: Who is this for?
  • Business objective: What is the company trying to achieve right now?

Optional Context

  • Current metrics or dashboards in use
  • The core value event ("aha moment") and activation definition
  • Known data sources and tools (analytics, CRM, billing)
  • Existing baselines, targets, or benchmarks

Measurement Framework Structure

Build a complete Measurement Framework following this exact structure. Every metric must tie to a decision: if the number moves, something changes. If nothing changes, cut it.

0. Foundations

Business objective to PMM objective mapping. Start from the company goal, then translate to what product marketing can actually move (demand, clarity, conversion quality, adoption, retention). Present as a table: company objective, PMM objective, example metric.

North Star. Select one metric that best proxies delivered customer value and predicts durable growth. It reflects value the customer receives (not company activity), leads revenue rather than lagging it, resists gaming, and stands alone. Justify the choice.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
