share

share is a skill for Claude Code from reposit-bot/reposit-claude-plugin. It costs 22 tokens per session (539 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A tool for submitting useful coding solutions to Reposit, a shared knowledge base, with confirmation required by default.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to share non-trivial bug fixes, researched solutions, workarounds, and techniques that may help other developers.
Why use it?
It reduces the effort of documenting fixes and patterns after solving a difficult problem.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00539
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00269
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00108
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00054

Measured 8d ago against content hash 1fb252fe16e5, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

share scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Reposit Share

Contribute a solution you've discovered to the Reposit knowledge base.

Behavior depends on configuration: By default, asks for confirmation before sharing. Set REPOSIT_AUTO_SHARE=true to share automatically.

Sharing Modes

Default Mode (Confirmation Required)

The share tool will ask for confirmation before sharing:

I'd like to share this solution with Reposit:

**Problem:** [summarized problem]
**Solution:** [summarized approach]
**Tags:** language:X, framework:Y

Should I contribute this?

Auto-Share Mode

Set REPOSIT_AUTO_SHARE=true to skip confirmation:

export REPOSIT_AUTO_SHARE=true

Or in config (~/.reposit/config.json or .reposit.json):

{
  "backends": { ... },
  "autoShare": true
}

In this mode, solutions are shared immediately when you:

  • Successfully solve a non-trivial problem
  • Discover a useful pattern or technique
  • Fix a tricky bug
  • User expresses satisfaction ("that worked!", "perfect!")

When to Share

Share-worthy solutions:

  • Non-trivial bug fixes that took investigation
  • Useful patterns or workarounds
  • Solutions that required research
  • Techniques the user found valuable

Do NOT share:

  • Trivial fixes (typos, simple syntax errors)
  • Project-specific implementation details
  • Standard library usage
  • Incomplete or untested solutions

Tool Parameters

Parameter Type Required Description
problem string Yes Problem description (min 20 chars)
solution string Yes Solution explanation (min 50 chars)
tags array No Categorization tags
backend string No Target backend

Writing Good Solutions

  1. Be specific about the problem - Include error messages, symptoms
  2. Explain the "why" - Not just what to do, but why it works
  3. Include code examples - Concrete > abstract
  4. Tag accurately - language, framework, domain, platform

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

share is a skill published in the GitHub repository reposit-bot/reposit-claude-plugin (3 stars, last pushed 7mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 22 tokens to every session and 539 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
