resonate-server-deployment-cloud-run

resonate-server-deployment-cloud-run is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from resonatehq/resonate-skills. It costs 59 tokens per session (2,473 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A Python workflow pattern for completing several steps while recording an undo action for each completed step.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for processes such as charging a card and creating a shipment when each step can be reversed separately.
Why use it?
If a later step fails, the undo actions run in reverse order to restore earlier changes, avoiding the need for a distributed transaction across systems.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00059 $0.02473
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.01236
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00495
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00247

Security

Grade A, and why

resonate-server-deployment-cloud-run scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Resonate Server Deployment on Cloud Run

Overview

Deploy the Resonate server (resonatehq/resonate, Rust) as a Google Cloud Run service backed by Cloud SQL Postgres. Distinct deployment target from Linux + systemd — see resonate-server-deployment for the VM pattern.

Companion skill: workers that talk to this server deploy via resonate-gcp-deployments-typescript.

When to use this skill

  • You want the Resonate server on GCP without managing a VM.
  • You want durable storage in Cloud SQL Postgres instead of on-disk SQLite.
  • Your workers run on Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, or any other environment that can reach a Cloud Run service over HTTPS.

When NOT to use this skill

Assumptions & Inputs

You (the agent) should obtain or be given:

  • GCP_PROJECT_ID – GCP project
  • GCP_REGION – region (e.g. us-central1)
  • CLOUD_SQL_INSTANCE – Cloud SQL Postgres instance name (e.g. resonate-db)
  • PG_USER, PG_PASSWORD, PG_DATABASE – Postgres credentials
  • SERVICE_NAME – Cloud Run service name (e.g. resonate-server)

Prerequisites:

  • gcloud authenticated to GCP_PROJECT_ID
  • Cloud Run, Cloud SQL Admin, and Secret Manager APIs enabled
  • A Cloud SQL Postgres 16+ instance, with PG_DATABASE created
  • Local clone of resonatehq/resonate (used as build source — the repo ships its own Dockerfile)

Configuration model

The Resonate server reads all settings from RESONATE_-prefixed environment variables (figment, __ for nesting). There is no need for --args overrides or a custom Dockerfile wrapper — pass config through gcloud run deploy --set-env-vars and mount secrets with --set-secrets.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

resonate-server-deployment-cloud-run is a skill published in the GitHub repository resonatehq/resonate-skills (6 stars, last pushed 20d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 59 tokens to every session and 2,473 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
