What is crawl-engine-design?

A design guide for crawlers that extract page metadata from changing links and JavaScript-rendered websites. OG metadata is information sites provide for link previews, such as a title, image, and description.

It is for designing crawlers that resolve short links and redirects, determine final URLs, collect link-preview metadata, and defend against server-side request forgery.

It addresses links that need redirects, browser rendering, fallback parsing, or protection against unsafe requests.
