Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00125 | $0.01275 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00050 | $0.00510 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00025 | $0.00255 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00128 |
Grade A, and why
x402-verify-before-and-after-you-pay scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 128 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Verify before and after you pay an x402 endpoint
An agent with a wallet can now pay any HTTP 402 endpoint on its own. Nothing in
the x402 handshake tells it whether the endpoint is honest, whether the recipient
is a sanctioned or drainer address, whether the advertised price is the price it
will actually be charged, or — once it has paid — whether the money landed where
it was promised. This skill closes both halves of that gap.
Two moments matter, and they are separate on-chain events with no shared state:
- Before you pay — screen the endpoint and decide.
- After you pay — prove the settlement matched what was advertised.
Pre-payment screeners cannot see the second half; a settlement can still go to the wrong recipient, be underpaid, or revert after a clean pre-pay screen. Do both.
1. Before you pay — screen the endpoint
Call the pre-flight check with the URL you are about to pay. One read-only request; it never spends. You get a single verdict plus the reasons behind it.
GET https://api.greyridgesignals.ai/x402/preflight?url=<endpoint-you-want-to-pay>
What it checks and returns (verdict: PAY | CAUTION | AVOID):
- will it settle — validates the 402 challenge and
accepts[]; labels livenessLIVE | ZOMBIE | DEAD. - safe to pay — screens
payToagainst the OFAC SDN list and a community scam/drainer set; scans the resource and any advertised MCP tools for LLM01 / LLM08 prompt-injection; flags an absolute price-trap (>= $1000 =>AVOID). - price accuracy — live
accepts[].amountvs the price the endpoint advertises:MATCH | OVERCHARGE | UNDERCHARGE. - delivery readiness — whether the paid resource is actually declared/served.
Decision rule for the agent:
PAY— proceed.CAUTION— proceed only if the specific flagged reason is acceptable for this call.AVOID— do not pay; pick another provider.
Try it free, no wallet, deterministic example:

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

x402-verify-before-and-after-you-pay is a skill published in the GitHub repository rezearcher/x402-data-api (0 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 125 tokens to every session and 1,275 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-05.
