What is dym-impeccable-browser-extension-build?

A build process that packages a browser extension containing webpage checks. The extension can run the project's detectors on an open site without checking out that site's source code.

Use it to build Chrome and Firefox packages, create an unpacked extension for local loading, and run the included detector rules on webpages.

It lets you inspect production, staging, or other open websites when their source code is not available locally.

Chạy build:extension mà chưa build:browser thì detector nhúng vào extension sẽ là bản cũ. Luôn chạy theo thứ tự đó khi vừa sửa luật.

scripts/build-extension.js làm ba việc: nhúng detector bản browser vào extension/detector/detect.js, đổ registry luật ra extension/detector/antipatterns.json, rồi zip hai lần — một cho Chrome (manifest giữ nguyên) và một cho Firefox (dựng lại manifest trong dist/extension-firefox/ rồi mới zip cho AMO).

Cả extension/detector/ lẫn cli/engine/detect-antipatterns-browser.js đều nằm trong cổng generated-output của CI, nên phải commit sau khi build — xem 06.

Bật Developer mode
Load unpacked → chọn thư mục extension/ (không phải file zip)

Firefox:

Mở about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
Load Temporary Add-on → chọn dist/extension-firefox/manifest.json

Rồi mở một trang bất kỳ và bấm icon Impeccable. Extension cũng gắn thêm một panel trong DevTools (devtools_page trong manifest).
