crc-ols

crc-ols is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from rhtevan/agentfs. It costs 33 tokens per session (5,420 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Instructions for installing and managing OpenShift Lightspeed on OpenShift Local, a local Kubernetes-based OpenShift environment, with one or more language-model providers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to install Lightspeed, add or remove providers, list their status, switch the active provider and model, and verify the resulting rollout.
Why use it?
It helps configure the required provider and model settings, apply fixes specific to OpenShift Local, and avoid switching or removing providers in an invalid state.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.05420
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.02710
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.01084
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00542

Security

Grade A, and why

crc-ols scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 3 executable files (scripts/list.sh, scripts/remove-provider.sh, scripts/switch-provider.sh), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Makes network callslowCapability

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

OpenShift Lightspeed on CRC — Multi-Provider Management

Install OpenShift Lightspeed on an OpenShift Local (CRC) cluster, configure one or more LLM providers, switch between them, and apply CRC-specific tunings.

Usage

Operation Script Description
install (or no args) Prose (agent-orchestrated) Install OLS operator, apply CRC fix, configure first provider, create OLSConfig
list scripts/list.sh Show all providers, models, active default, and status
add-provider Prose (agent-orchestrated) Add a provider: create secret, patch OLSConfig, verify rollout
switch-provider scripts/switch-provider.sh PROVIDER MODEL Switch active provider+model, wait for reconciliation, verify
remove-provider scripts/remove-provider.sh PROVIDER [--delete-secret] Remove a provider (cannot remove the active one — switch first)

Provider-Model relationship: Each provider has one or more models. OLS requires both defaultProvider and defaultModel to be set together. Switching means selecting a provider AND one of its models — you cannot switch to a model without specifying which provider serves it.

Prerequisites

  • OpenShift Local (CRC) running (crc status shows Running)
  • Logged in as kubeadmin (oc whoami confirms)
  • For each provider, appropriate credentials (see Provider Types Reference below)

Operation: install

Full installation of the Lightspeed Operator and initial provider configuration.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

crc-ols is a skill published in the GitHub repository rhtevan/agentfs (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 33 tokens to every session and 5,420 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
