structure-consulting-storyline is a skill for Codex from Rkamirage/consulting-research-to-output. It costs 100 tokens per session (1,058 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A consulting-storyline planning tool that turns an approved answer and supporting research into a clear sequence of sections, titles, and decisions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to shape answer pyramids, presentation structures, page briefs, playbooks, and narrative quality checks after research is complete.
Why use it?
It helps prevent reports and presentations from becoming disconnected facts or unsupported claims.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00100 $0.01058
Opus 5 $0.00050 $0.00529
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.00212
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00106

Security

Grade A, and why

structure-consulting-storyline scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Structure Consulting Storyline

Turn an approved answer into a sequence that changes what the reader understands, believes, or can do. The central case lead retains approval.

Confirm the handoff

Require the management question/use, approved answer v1 or message spine, hypothesis results, approved content-spine payloads with grain/entitlement/qualifiers, communication job and real ask, Audience/Onboarding Contract locator, and storyline_entry: ready.

Return upstream if a material claim is unresolved, a user-obtainable gap remains unoffered in the decision window, or a narrative step needs new evidence. Preserve an approved bounded answer and continuation gate rather than implying certainty.

Build one belief journey

  1. Write the qualified governing thought.
  2. Build an answer pyramid or another architecture suited to the answer—not a template.
  3. Define the reader's starting belief, the new belief each section earns, the turning point, and the landing: understanding, warning, learning, instruction, escalation, or decision.
  4. Make each section's landing the next section's premise.
  5. Read titles alone; each must answer the prior implicit question or create the next one, and together they must form one argument.

Use because / therefore / but at section boundaries only as a diagnostic. If no honest bridge exists without inventing a claim, reorder, merge, or return the gap; never add the bridge as a page field. Use story-archetypes.md only when pattern choice is genuinely uncertain.

Pass the canonical page brief

For every page provide exactly:

page job | message/title | proof | source locator

  • page job is the page's distinct cognitive function: orient, correct, compare, pressure-test, sequence, or land. In a short storyline, reuse a job label only when the repeated function is intentional and advances different proof; never use an output-class label as a page job. If briefs are tabular, render four real columns; otherwise use one explicit four-field line.
  • message/title matches approved claim state; functional titles are valid for operating, appendix, reference, definition, and divider pages.
  • proof is the eligible content shown: exact fact, number, worked example, observed mechanism, bounded comparison, or explicit gap. An exhibit name such as capability matrix, risk framework, RACI, or control map is not proof.
  • source locator recovers the content-spine row, evidence chain, or analysis note.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
