Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00082 | $0.01206 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00041 | $0.00603 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00016 | $0.00241 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.00121 |
Grade A, and why
ibkr-mcp scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 81 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
IBKR MCP
Tools: ibkr_get_connection_status, ibkr_get_account_summary, ibkr_get_account_values, ibkr_get_positions / ibkr_get_positions_detailed, ibkr_get_market_data, ibkr_get_contract_details, ibkr_get_options_chain, ibkr_get_filtered_options_chain, ibkr_get_historical_data, ibkr_place_order, ibkr_cancel_order, ibkr_get_open_orders, ibkr_reconnect, ibkr_get_ibkr_gateway_status / ibkr_get_ibkr_gateway_logs.
Underlying REST API (what the MCP wraps): localhost:8000, FastAPI. Current surface discoverable at GET /openapi.json — check it after any server rebuild, endpoints get renamed.
Canonical quote pattern (US stocks/ETFs, verified 2026-08-19)
Step 1 — resolve the underlying (exchange=SMART works for STK):
ibkr_get_contract_details(symbol="GDX", sec_type="STK", exchange="SMART", currency="USD")
-> qualified_contract.con_id (e.g. GDX = 229726316)
Step 2 — unfiltered chain for expiry/strike discovery (returns candidate_chains with all available expirations and strike ranges):
ibkr_get_options_chain(
underlying_symbol="GDX", underlying_sec_type="STK", underlying_con_id=229726316,
exchange="SMART")
-> candidate_chains[0].expirations, candidate_chains[0].strikes
Step 3 — filtered chain (contract resolution; exchange=SMART):
ibkr_get_options_chain(
underlying_symbol="GDX", underlying_sec_type="STK", underlying_con_id=229726316,
exchange="SMART",
filters='{"trading_class": ["GDX"], "expirations": ["20260918"], "rights": ["P"],
"strikes": [84, 85, 86]}')
-> con_id per contract (local_symbol, friendly_symbol, strike, right, expiry)
Filter keys: trading_class, expirations, rights, strikes (snake_case verified). The chain returns contract fields only — an older build joined market data (last_price, greeks, probability, costBase) into each entry; that join is gone, so get quotes in step 4.
Step 4 — batch quotes for the shortlist (MCP bridge now forwards arrays as repeated query params — one call for the whole ladder):
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ibkr-mcp is a skill published in the GitHub repository rkilchmn/tradingview-analytics-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 19d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 82 tokens to every session and 1,206 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
