omh-gateway-intent-card

omh-gateway-intent-card is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from rlaope/oh-my-hermes. It costs 77 tokens per session (1,192 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Hermes workflow for preparing a structured gateway-intent card: a bounded description of an intended operation and the context needed to route it. It records what is known without claiming that outside actions happened.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare routing guidance for requests such as updating a Discord thread, while identifying missing authority, targets, credentials, or evidence.
Why use it?
It gives chat users a clear operating surface when a request may involve external services, credentials, or automation. It prevents unsupported claims about actions that were not actually observed.

About the project

oh-my-hermes is an operating layer for Hermes Agent that organizes requests into workflows for planning, research, creation, coding handoffs, operations, and project memory. Hermes users run these workflows through the desktop app, CLI, or messenger app, while the catalogue add-ons extend its native capabilities.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00077 $0.01192
Opus 5 $0.00039 $0.00596
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00238
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00119

Security

Grade A, and why

omh-gateway-intent-card scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Gateway Intent Card

This is a Hermes-native gateway-intent-card workflow skill.

Why This Exists

gateway-intent-card exists so Hermes users can ask for this workflow in chat and receive a structured, evidence-bounded OMH operating surface instead of ad hoc narration.

Do Not Use When

  • The request is already handled by a narrower explicit skill with stronger evidence.
  • The user asks OMH to secretly run external platforms, connectors, schedulers, file exports, or runtime agents.
  • The only safe answer is to ask for missing authority, credentials, target, or observed evidence first.

Examples

Good example:

  • Prompt: gateway-intent-card route this Discord thread update silently unless action is needed.
  • Expected behavior: Produce prepare_gateway_intent_card with required context, wrapper actions, and not-evidence boundaries.
  • Why: The prompt names a real workflow surface that Hermes can orchestrate without hiding execution.

Bad example:

  • Prompt: gateway-intent-card prove the Telegram attachment was sent.
  • Expected behavior: Report the missing observed evidence or authority instead of claiming the external step happened.
  • Why: Prepared OMH guidance is not platform, runtime, connector, file, memory, or delivery evidence.

Completion Checklist

  • The origin platform, thread/session boundary, delivery target, and update policy are named.
  • Prepared card or command output is separate from platform registration, send, attachment, or delivery evidence.
  • The next wrapper action is explicit and platform-safe.

Recovery Notes

  • If platform metadata is missing, keep the card platform-neutral and ask for the target surface.
  • If send or registration evidence is unavailable, show the adapter-owned action instead of claiming delivery.

Workflow Lane

  • Current lane: Automation and status (achievements, workspace-audit, production-audit, automation-blueprint, github-event-ops, github-issue-intake, buzz, agent-board, +35 more) - schedules, status, health, and ops review.
  • If intent belongs to another lane, hand back to oh-my-hermes or name the adjacent workflow.
  • Shared product, routing, compatibility, and evidence rules: omh-routing/references/skill-common-rail.md.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
