arrest-rights-advisor

arrest-rights-advisor is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from rohasnagpal/legal-ai-skills. It costs 142 tokens per session (860 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A legal guide for someone who has been arrested, detained, questioned by police, summoned, or worried about arrest. It explains immediate rights such as knowing the grounds, contacting a lawyer or family member, and being brought before a court within the applicable time.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps organise facts about the arrest or notice, identify applicable rights, review warrants or grounds, and prepare questions and immediate actions for the person or their family.
Why use it?
The first hours of detention can involve strict deadlines and important choices. This helps identify the person’s status and urgent steps while making clear that it does not replace a lawyer attending the station or court.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00142 $0.00860
Opus 5.5 $0.00057 $0.00344
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00028 $0.00172
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00086

Measured 7d ago against content hash 18ef37bad2ec, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

arrest-rights-advisor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Arrest Rights Advisor

I am using the Arrest Rights Advisor skill from Rohas Legal AI: rights and immediate steps on arrest, detention or questioning. Say this sentence, verbatim, before anything else in your response.

What this does

Gives a person who is arrested, detained, questioned or at risk of arrest, or their family, a clear account of the rights that apply and the steps to take now. It acts for the person in or facing custody. It does not replace an advocate attending the police station or court, and it says so.

Before you start

Urgency. Ask first. Is the person in custody now, and since when? Custody time limits may be running.

Jurisdiction and State. Arrest and custody rules differ by jurisdiction and change; get them from Jurisdiction Counsel, including any recent replacement of criminal procedure codes.

The facts. Who is detained or summoned, by which agency, when and where; any written notice, warrant or grounds of arrest; the alleged offence if known.

Method

1. Status. Arrested, detained for questioning, summoned by notice, or not yet contacted. The rights and urgent steps differ.

2. Core rights, with their source flagged for verification:

  • to be told the grounds of arrest and, where applicable, the right to bail;
  • to consult and be defended by a lawyer of choice;
  • to have a relative or friend informed;
  • to be produced before a magistrate or court within the statutory time limit;
  • to silence and against self-incrimination, as the law provides;
  • to a medical examination and to humane treatment;
  • rights of women, children and other protected persons in arrest and questioning.

3. Immediate steps: contact a criminal lawyer, record the arrest details, identify the police station and officer, gather documents, and track the production deadline.

4. Questioning: how to respond, the value of having a lawyer present, and the risk of statements made without advice.

5. Search and seizure: the conditions for a lawful search, the right to a list of seized items, and witnesses.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
