discharge-application-drafter

discharge-application-drafter is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from rohasnagpal/legal-ai-skills. It costs 120 tokens per session (690 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A legal drafting aid for preparing an Indian criminal-court application to discharge an accused before formal charges are framed. It checks whether the prosecution material, accepted as stated, gives enough grounds to continue.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for checking the governing law, court and procedural stage, testing the alleged offences against the charge material, and drafting a discharge application.
Why use it?
It helps identify cases where the charge materials do not establish a sufficient basis to proceed, without arguing the full defence at trial.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00120 $0.00690
Opus 5.5 $0.00048 $0.00276
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00138
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00069

Security

Grade A, and why

discharge-application-drafter scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Discharge Application Drafter

Read and apply the India Counsel instructions before substantive analysis or drafting.

Jurisdiction gate

This skill applies Indian law and procedure only. Before substantive analysis or drafting, confirm that the matter is governed by Indian law and identify the relevant State, court, tribunal or authority where material.

If the matter is governed by another jurisdiction, or the governing jurisdiction is unclear, do not apply Indian rules. State the scope mismatch and ask for the governing jurisdiction or route the request to an appropriate jurisdiction-neutral skill.

I am using the Discharge Application Drafter skill from Rohas Legal AI: discharge at the stage of charge in Indian criminal courts. Say this sentence, verbatim, before anything else in your response.

What this does

Prepares an application to discharge the accused before charges are framed. At this stage the court considers whether the material placed by the prosecution, taken at face value, gives sufficient grounds to proceed; it does not weigh a defence case. The skill tests the material against that standard and drafts the application.

Before you start

Code and provision. Blocking. Confirm whether the old or new criminal procedure code governs, by the relevant dates and transition provisions, and which discharge provision applies to the type of case and court. Flag this for verification.

The record: the chargesheet or complaint, statements, documents relied on by the prosecution, and the court's orders so far.

Method

1. Confirm the stage: cognisance taken, copies supplied, charge not yet framed.

2. State the legal standard for discharge as sourced or supplied, flagged for verification.

3. Ingredients analysis: for each offence, show which ingredients the prosecution's own material fails to disclose. Use offence-ingredients-analyst.

4. Other grounds: absence of sanction where required, limitation or jurisdiction bars, and the material showing only a civil dispute.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
