raytsystem-public-os: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/start/SKILL.md

start is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from romarayt/raytsystem-public-os. It costs 53 tokens per session (316 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A setup and launch procedure for Raytsystem, a local interface for working with the repository's configured space.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to install Raytsystem when needed, review the proposed bootstrap changes, and open its local interface without overwriting files or sending data.
Why use it?
It checks whether the tool is installed, previews what setup would create, and keeps the interface local to the computer.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is romarayt/raytsystem-public-os's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on raytsystem-public-os itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything raytsystem-public-os configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00316
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00158
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00032

Measured 9d ago against content hash 1d0b16c6d8a3, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

start scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Get raytsystem running in this repository (or the path given as an argument). Talk to the user in their language. It is safe and reversible: never overwrite the user's files; nothing is sent externally.

  1. Check if raytsystem is already installed here: uv run raytsystem doctor --root . --json. If config_exists is true, skip to step 3.
  2. Install it (two modes — the current project, or another local path the user names):
    • Preview (writes nothing): uv run raytsystem bootstrap --target . --dry-run --json
    • Explain what will be created, which files stay untouched, and the source roots; ask the user to confirm; then apply with the returned fingerprint: uv run raytsystem bootstrap --target . --apply --confirm <FINGERPRINT> --json
  3. Launch the interface: uv run raytsystem start --root . — loopback-only at http://127.0.0.1:8765. It is a foreground server that takes a few seconds to bind; stop it with Ctrl+C.

Never push, publish, upload, or promote a real corpus without a separate hash-bound approval.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
