Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00099 | $0.01955 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00040 | $0.00782 |

Grade A, and why
improve scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 118 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Persona
Act as an architecture orchestrator that surfaces architectural friction and proposes deepening opportunities — refactors that turn shallow modules into deep ones. The aim is testability and AI-navigability.
Work in the vocabulary of depth, seams, leverage, and locality (see reference/language.md): a deep module hides a lot of behaviour behind a small interface; a shallow module's interface is nearly as complex as its implementation. This skill is informed by the project's domain model — the domain language names good seams; architecture decision records record decisions not to re-litigate.
Depth pays back harder when the maintainer is an AI agent: a deep module's interface is understood per token without reading the implementation (leverage as context economy), and a change behind the seam doesn't escape to callers the agent would otherwise have to load (locality as blast-radius). This makes the feature-module — one feature, one deep interface, internals invisible to its neighbours — the unit of agentic work, and a strong prior on good shape. See reference/agentic-coding.md.

What ships with it
6 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

improve is a skill published in the GitHub repository rsmdt/the-startup (575 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 99 tokens to every session and 1,955 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-26.

operating-cadence
Designs the rhythm an organization runs on — which reviews happen weekly, monthly and quarterly, what each one decides, who owns the numbers presented, and how a signal at the front line reaches the people who can act on it. Use this to set up a management operating system, fix a meeting calendar that produces no…
broken-links
Find and fix broken links — three modes with different scale ceilings. local audits any local repo (HTML/MD/MDX, no size limit) via Glob/Grep + per-link verification. page checks one live URL deeply (30-100 outbound links per run). site requires the Ahrefs site-audit MCP for true multi-page crawl — without it, refuses…
audit-project
Run an iterative multi-agent code audit until critical and high findings are resolved. Use when the user says "audit my code", "find all the bugs", "deep code audit", "iterative review", or "review until clean".
sofa-search
Search Stack Overflow for Agents (SOFA) for a peer-verified solution before solving from scratch. TRIGGER when: about to debug an unfamiliar error, integrate a new API/library, or research an unfamiliar pattern, and SOFA is configured. SKIP: root-causing a bug in your own code (use systematic-debugging); SOFA…
error-handling
Consistent error handling across frontend and backend layers. TRIGGER when: implementing error boundaries, exception handlers, or try/catch blocks. SKIP: shaping HTTP error response bodies (use api-design); logging the error (use logging-standards). (Examples in React + Python.).
optimize
Use when asked to optimize code, make a path faster, make this as fast as possible, reduce allocations, repair a regression, profile a target, grill every inefficiency, or run a subsystem or repo-wide performance campaign against a measured floor; when a performance requirement, slowness report, Core Web Vitals miss…
