MuleSoftSetup

MuleSoftSetup is a skill for Claude Code from rsts-dev/claude-buddy-marketplace. It costs 123 tokens per session (723 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup helper that installs MuleSoft’s official API-design skills from their upstream repository. MuleSoft is a platform for designing and integrating APIs, which are interfaces that let software systems communicate.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to validate OpenAPI specifications, generate API documentation, infer schemas, design around user jobs, and review API-related work. Anypoint CLI v4 with its API Project plugin is required for validation.
Why use it?
It avoids manually installing separate API-design helpers and follows the current upstream installation process with permission.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00123 $0.00723
Opus 5 $0.00062 $0.00362
Sonnet 5 $0.00025 $0.00145
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00072

Security

Grade A, and why

MuleSoftSetup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

MuleSoftSetup

Install MuleSoft's official API-design skill collection by driving the upstream install, the same thin-wrapper way /setup:lifeos drives the LifeOS installer. This skill does not copy or vendor the MuleSoft skills — it fetches the upstream repo's current install instructions at run time and drives them with permission, so the install never drifts from upstream.

What gets installed

The MuleSoft API-design skills from mulesoft/mulesoft-dx:

  • api-spec-validator — validate OpenAPI specs against agent-friendly best practices (Anypoint CLI under the hood)
  • api-doc-generator, api-schema-inferrer — generate docs / infer schemas
  • jtbd-generator, jtbd-validator — Jobs-To-Be-Done driven API design
  • review-pr, skill-quality-review, validate-imperative-format — review + quality helpers

These support an API-spec-first, JTBD-driven workflow that complements the buddy mulesoft domain.

Customization

Before executing, check ~/.claude/LIFEOS/USER/CUSTOMIZATIONS/SKILLS/MuleSoftSetup/PREFERENCES.md. If present, load and apply it; otherwise use defaults.

Prerequisites

  • Anypoint CLI v4 with the API Project plugin (the validation skills call it under the hood)
  • Node.js + npm (for the CLI)
  • Python 3 (some skill scripts)

If a prerequisite is missing, report it and let the user decide whether to proceed or install it first — do not block silently.

Workflow Routing

Workflow Trigger File
InstallMuleSoftSkills Any /setup:mulesoft invocation Workflows/InstallMuleSoftSkills.md

Hard rules

  • Thin wrapper. Fetch the upstream install instructions at run time; do not hardcode a stale command or vendor the skills.
  • Permission before mutation. /plugin marketplace add and any install run only after the user says yes.
  • Additive. Never remove existing skills or marketplaces.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
