Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00111 | $0.01675 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00044 | $0.00670 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00022 | $0.00335 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00011 | $0.00168 |
Grade A, and why
add-concept scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 127 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Add a concept to the graph
Each node is one YAML file in plugins/runpod/skills/runpod-usage/concepts/
(called concepts/ below). The format, kinds, relation types and writing style
are defined in concepts/README.md. Read it before writing; this
skill is the procedure, not the format.
Every file is public-facing. Everything in it must be safe to show a customer and backed by a public source. The validator enforces this.
1. Check it doesn't already exist
Search ids, names and aliases before creating anything:
grep -ril "<term>" plugins/runpod/skills/runpod-usage/concepts/
cd ontology/tools && pnpm build:sqlite && pnpm query concept "<term>" # resolves names and aliases
pnpm query search "<term>" # finds rules that mention it
- If the idea is a fact about an existing concept, add a rule to that file instead of a new node.
- If it is a new field or state of an existing resource, add it to that file's
fieldsorstates. - Create a new file only for a thing a customer or agent names on its own, or for a flow that spans concepts.
2. Pick the kind
| If it is… | kind | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Something with its own id and CRUD in the API | resource |
pod, template |
| Part of a resource with no CRUD of its own | component |
worker, container-disk |
| Read-only reference data | catalog |
gpu-type, data-center |
| Something you do with a resource | capability |
pod-ssh-access |
| Runpod hardware a resource runs on | infrastructure |
machine |
| Charges or credit | billing |
pod-billing |
| A cap or quota | limit |
api-rate-limit |
| A Runpod SDK or CLI | tool |
flash |
| Something Runpod references but doesn't own | external |
container-image |
| How something works, in order, across concepts | process |
pod-deployment |
Set is_a for a kind-of parent (cpu-pod is_a pod). Set part_of for the
whole it belongs to (worker part_of serverless-endpoint). Top-level
resources, catalogs, billing roots, tools and limits sit part_of: runpod-platform.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

add-concept is a skill published in the GitHub repository runpod/runpod-plugins-official (46 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 111 tokens to every session and 1,675 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-09.
