agent-cli-delegation

agent-cli-delegation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from S3YED/appie-kit. It costs 31 tokens per session (367 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for assigning coding work to local command-line AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode. It explains how to prepare tasks and track the agents' work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to delegate refactoring, feature work, pull-request preparation, reviews, and other repository tasks to a local coding agent.
Why use it?
It helps turn a broad coding request into a clear assignment with defined files, limits, checks, and expected results. It also reduces the risk of losing track of background work or accepting unverified changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00031 $0.00367
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00183
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00073
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00037

Measured 4d ago against content hash bd7f4eb8a00b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

agent-cli-delegation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent CLI Delegation

Use this umbrella when the user wants coding work delegated to a local autonomous coding CLI rather than completed entirely in the current Hermes turn.

Choose the agent CLI

CLI Best fit Notes
Claude Code Larger refactors, repo-aware implementation, PR-ready changes Keep prompts scoped and include verification commands.
Codex OpenAI Codex CLI feature/fix work and iterative patching Provide exact paths, constraints, and tests to run.
OpenCode Alternative coding agent and PR-review workflows Useful when the user prefers OpenCode or when comparing agents.

Delegation prompt shape

Include:

  1. Goal and non-goals.
  2. Repository path and relevant files.
  3. Constraints: style, dependencies, APIs, security, backwards compatibility.
  4. Required verification commands.
  5. Expected deliverables: patch, tests, summary, risks.

Execution rules

  • Run agent CLIs in a tracked terminal/background process, not an untracked shell background.
  • Require the child agent to report changed files and verification output.
  • Independently verify critical claims: inspect diffs and run tests/checks yourself.
  • Never ask a child agent to use credentials, deploy, merge, or delete without explicit user authorization.

Review after delegation

  1. git status --short and git diff.
  2. Check for unrelated changes, secrets, generated junk, or destructive edits.
  3. Run the test/lint/typecheck commands that matter.
  4. Summarize what was done and what remains.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
