productized-service-business

productized-service-business is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from S3YED/appie-kit. It costs 93 tokens per session (1,731 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A business-planning guide for testing and delivering repeatable services, service-based software offers, marketplaces, audits, and retainers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess business ideas, research competitors, shape a narrow first offer, validate demand, and plan how to sell and deliver the service.
Why use it?
It helps decide whether people will pay for an idea before investing heavily in building software, while also revealing competitors and possible pricing paths.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00093 $0.01731
Opus 5 $0.00046 $0.00865
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00346
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00173

Security

Grade A, and why

productized-service-business scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Productized Service Business

Use this class-level skill to move from raw idea → market verdict → first paid offer → repeatable delivery. Prefer service-first validation over building SaaS until paid demand is proven.

Default workflow

  1. Define the paid proposition before researching

    • Who pays?
    • What painful job gets removed or improved?
    • What exact deliverable is produced?
    • What outcome is promised?
    • What is the narrow first wedge?
  2. Research competitors by category, not just exact names

    • Direct exact competitors.
    • Adjacent service providers.
    • Software/tools that solve part of the problem.
    • Agencies/consultants with broader overlap.
    • Blogs/content that describe the method but do not sell it.
    • Enterprise versions that are too heavy for the target customer.
  3. Compare overlap with a fixed grid For each found party, check whether it uses the same primary input, targets the same buyer, delivers the same artifact, promises the same outcome, has similar pricing/productization, and can expand into the wedge quickly.

  4. Score attackability 1-10 Judge pain intensity, buyer ability to pay, ease of first sale, competitor density, clarity of ROI, delivery simplicity, ability to productize into retainer/MRR, and copy risk from tools/agencies.

  5. Finish with the operator answer Always include: hard verdict, sharp positioning sentence, first paid offer, free entry wedge, upsell/retainer path, biggest risk, and next 3 actions.

Research lane

Load exa-plus for deep search when useful. If Exa fails because EXA_API_KEY is missing, continue with web_search + web_extract and mention the fallback. For Dutch checks, search both Dutch and English:

  • Nederland [problem] automatisering [buyer]
  • site:.nl "[exact phrase]" "[industry]"
  • "[method]" "webshop" "Nederland"
  • "[problem]" "AI" "conversie" "Nederland"
  • [global competitor category] Netherlands [industry]

Absence of exact keywords is not proof of uniqueness; adjacent categories count.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
