adopt-rbac

adopt-rbac is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from saajunaid/caddis-plugin. It costs 33 tokens per session (299 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A pointer to private, organisation-specific instructions for adopting role-based access control, or RBAC. RBAC limits what people can do according to their assigned roles.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding the organisation's approved access-control package and configuration to an application.
Why use it?
It prevents an agent from guessing how authentication, permissions, rollout steps, and shared packages work in that organisation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.00299
Opus 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00120
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

adopt-rbac scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

adopt-rbac (pointer)

RBAC adoption depends on organisation-specific things: the shared package and its pin, the auth proxy that supplies identity, prod paths, the rollout order. So the real skill lives in the organisation's private platform repo, next to the package it describes:

<PLATFORM_REPO>/.claude/skills/adopt-rbac/SKILL.md

Find it, read it in full, and follow it. This pointer only makes it findable from a session opened in another repo.

  1. If .github/project-config.md sets <PLATFORM_REPO>, use that checkout.
  2. Otherwise look in the folders next to the current project for one that contains .claude/skills/adopt-rbac/SKILL.md.
  3. If the repo is only on the remote, read the file with gh api from the platform repo.
  4. If none of these works, stop and ask the user where it is. Do not improvise RBAC from memory: improvised copies drift, and a drifted copy is how a privilege escalation ships.

The skill and the package live in one repo on purpose, so a package change and its skill update land in the same PR.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

adopt-rbac is a skill published in the GitHub repository saajunaid/caddis-plugin (0 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 33 tokens to every session and 299 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-05.
