agent-toolkit: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/ox-skill-manager/SKILL.md

ox-skill-manager is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from sageox/agent-toolkit. It costs 48 tokens per session (304 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of ox-skill-manager, Apache-2.0.

A skill-management tool for installing, checking, and repairing SageOx instruction bundles for coding agents.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to see available skills, install the optional Attest bundle, or repair missing, outdated, or partially installed skill files.
Why use it?
It keeps agent skill files aligned with the project while preserving files that users own and edit themselves.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions Claude Code; installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is sageox/agent-toolkit's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on agent-toolkit itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything agent-toolkit configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.00304
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.00152
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

ox-skill-manager scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Manage bundled skills

  1. Treat a file as managed only when .sageox/skills.lock.json records its installed digest. Inline ox stamps are migration evidence, not ownership.
  2. ox init and ox doctor --fix install and reconcile the default core bundle for the project's selected native skill targets.
  3. Install the opt-in Attest bundle with ox attest install. Using another ox attest command also attempts to install that bundle without making Attest unavailable when installation cannot run.
  4. Canonical skill content lives in extensions/skills/. Claude Code receives a managed .claude/skills/ copy; standard-compatible clients receive a managed .agents/skills/ copy.
  5. For a missing, stale, partially installed, or retired ox-managed file, run ox doctor --fix. It preserves user-owned additions and edits, and reconciles only project-selected targets and bundles.

Do not claim a team-synchronized skill has been installed unless the local ox CLI reports a successful reconciliation. Team Context synchronization requires an explicit managed bundle manifest and must never delete user-owned content.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
