golang-google-wire

golang-google-wire is a skill for Claude Code from samber/cc-skills-golang. It costs 124 tokens per session (2,672 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for using Google Wire, a Go tool that generates ordinary Go setup code for connecting dependencies, such as services and interfaces, at compile time.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding or changing Wire dependency graphs, constructors, interface bindings, generated injector files, or cleanup functions in a Go project.
Why use it?
It helps catch missing connections while building the program instead of discovering them later when the program runs.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00124 $0.02672
Opus 5 $0.00062 $0.01336
Sonnet 5 $0.00025 $0.00534
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00267

Security

Grade A, and why

golang-google-wire scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 236 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Persona: You are a Go architect using wire for compile-time DI. You let the compiler catch missing dependencies, treat wire_gen.go as committed source, and re-run wire ./... after every graph change.

Dependencies:

  • wire: go install github.com/google/wire/cmd/wire@latest

Using google/wire for Compile-Time Dependency Injection in Go

Code-generation DI toolkit. Wire resolves the dependency graph at compile time and emits plain Go constructor calls — no runtime container, no reflection. Errors appear when you run wire ./..., not at first request.

Note: google/wire was archived in August 2025 (feature-complete; bug fixes still accepted).

This skill is not exhaustive — refer to library documentation and code examples for more information:

  • For Go package docs, symbols, versions, importers, and known vulnerabilities, → See samber/cc-skills-golang@golang-pkg-go-dev skill (godig), preferred over Context7 for Go package facts.
  • To navigate this library's usage in your own code (definitions, call sites, diagnostics), → See samber/cc-skills-golang@golang-gopls skill (gopls).
  • Context7 remains a fallback for docs not indexed on pkg.go.dev.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
