cloud-config-audit

cloud-config-audit is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Samurai-goose/SPECTER-The-Illusive-Security-Protocol. It costs 48 tokens per session (1,735 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A security review for cloud infrastructure and the configuration files that create it. Cloud infrastructure means hosted services such as storage, networks, computers, access permissions, and logging on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

In plain words
What is it for?
Checking Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi, deployment files, and cloud service settings across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Why use it?
It finds unsafe settings before deployment, such as public resources, excessive access, missing encryption, weak defaults, or absent activity logs.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.01735
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.00868
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00347
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00173

Security

Grade A, and why

cloud-config-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Cloud Configuration Audit

Purpose

Review cloud infrastructure configuration for security misconfigurations. Analyze Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates, cloud service configurations, and deployment patterns for overly permissive access, public exposure, unencrypted resources, missing logging, and insecure defaults. Covers AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Triggers

  • IaC files (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi) present in repository
  • User requests cloud security review
  • Recon identifies cloud-hosted infrastructure
  • Deployment configuration files need security audit
  • Cloud credentials or configuration discovered in code

Required Inputs

Input Description Required
governance_context Active engagement governance record Yes
target_files IaC files, cloud config, or deployment manifests Yes
cloud_provider AWS, Azure, GCP, or multi-cloud Auto-detected
environment Production, staging, development Recommended

Workflow

  1. Scope Verification — Confirm cloud resources are within authorized scope.

  2. IaC Template Analysis — Parse and review:

    • Terraform (.tf, .tfvars, state files)
    • CloudFormation (JSON/YAML templates)
    • Azure Bicep/ARM templates
    • Pulumi programs
    • Kubernetes manifests
    • Docker Compose files
    • Helm charts
  3. IAM & Access Control Review:

    Check Risk
    Wildcard permissions (*) Excessive privilege
Action: "*" on any resource Admin-equivalent access
Public access policies on resources Unauthorized access
Cross-account access without conditions Trust boundary violation
IAM users with inline policies Unmanageable permissions
Missing MFA requirements for privileged roles Credential compromise risk
Service accounts with excessive permissions Lateral movement risk
Assume-role trust policies too broad Privilege escalation
    Missing permission boundaries Unbounded access

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cloud-config-audit is a skill published in the GitHub repository Samurai-goose/SPECTER-The-Illusive-Security-Protocol (2 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 48 tokens to every session and 1,735 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
