csrf

csrf is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from sanjaysaini1952/BugBounty-Arsenal. It costs 0 tokens per session (507 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A security-testing guide for cross-site request forgery, or CSRF, where another website tricks a logged-in browser into sending an unwanted action. It tests state-changing requests and whether CSRF protections are enforced.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to test email and password changes, account deletion, admin actions, JSON requests, cookie-based requests, OAuth callbacks, and state-changing GET requests.
Why use it?
It helps find account changes, deletions, administrative actions, or OAuth actions that can be triggered from another site using the victim's login session.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00507
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00253
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00101
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00051

Security

Grade A, and why

csrf scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Use `fetch(url, {method: 'POST', mode: 'no-cors', credentials: 'include'})` to send state-changing request.

CSRF Hunting Skill — 10 Test Cases

Load when: CSRF, cross-site request forgery, state-changing request, missing CSRF token.

88. CSRF on email/password change (easy)

Create a form that auto-submits to /api/v1/user/email or /api/v1/user/password. Test if change succeeds when victim clicks the link.

89. CSRF on account deletion (medium)

Craft a page that submits DELETE request to /api/v1/user/account. Report if deletion occurs without confirmation or CSRF token.

90. CSRF on admin actions (medium)

Craft requests for admin endpoints (create user, change role, delete data). Test if admin CSRF token is validated.

91. CSRF via JSON content type (hard)

If app uses Content-Type: application/json, try: <form enctype="text/plain"> with JSON body, or navigator.sendBeacon().

92. CSRF with credentials (hard)

Craft cross-origin request with cookies. If CORS misconfigured, check if response is readable (credential leak).

93. CSRF on OAuth flows (medium)

If OAuth callback accepts GET requests with tokens, craft page that auto-submits token to attacker endpoint.

94. CSRF via image tag (easy)

If state-changing endpoints accept GET requests: <img src="https://app.com/api/v1/admin/deleteUser?userId=123">. Report if GET-based mutation exists.

95. CSRF on webhook configuration (medium)

If webhook URL is set via POST, craft page that changes webhook URL to attacker endpoint.

96. CSRF via fetch with no-cors (hard)

Use fetch(url, {method: 'POST', mode: 'no-cors', credentials: 'include'}) to send state-changing request.

97. CSRF on file upload (medium)

Craft form that auto-uploads malicious file to user's profile or shared location.

Defense Reference (to report missing controls)

Defense Description
CSRF Token Unique token per session, validated server-side
SameSite Cookie SameSite=Strict or Lax
Origin Check Validate Origin/Referer headers
Custom Headers Require custom header (e.g., X-Requested-With)
double-submit Cookie value must match header value

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

csrf is a skill published in the GitHub repository sanjaysaini1952/BugBounty-Arsenal (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 507 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
