ssrf

ssrf is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from sanjaysaini1952/BugBounty-Arsenal. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,124 once invoked), scanned C, original, MIT.

A guide for testing server-side request forgery, where a server is tricked into requesting a URL chosen by an attacker. It focuses on URL-taking inputs, internal services, cloud metadata endpoints, redirects, and related cases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review URL, image, webhook, and callback parameters; test PDF and image fetchers; check redirects, DNS rebinding, internal services, and blind requests.
Why use it?
It helps find whether a web server or document and image service can reach private network resources or cloud credential endpoints on an attacker's behalf.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01124
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00562
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00225
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00112

Security

Grade C, and why

ssrf scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

SSRF Hunting Skill — 15 Test Cases

Load when: SSRF, server-side request forgery, cloud metadata, internal network.

41. SSRF via URL parameter (easy)

Find every parameter accepting a URL (?url=, ?image=, ?webhook=, ?callback=). Replace with http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/ (AWS), http://metadata.google.internal/, http://localhost:22. Report responses.

42. Blind SSRF via webhook (medium)

Point webhooks at Burp Collaborator URL. Note leaked headers (auth, internal hostnames).

43. SSRF via PDF generator (hard)

Upload HTML to PDF endpoints with <iframe src="http://169.254.169.254/..."> or <img src="file:///etc/passwd">. wkhtmltopdf and Chromium-based generators often leak.

44. SSRF via image proxy (hard)

Submit http://localhost:6379/ (Redis), gopher://localhost:6379/_... to image fetchers. Report any non-image content returned.

45. SSRF via DNS rebinding (hard)

Submit http://rebind.it/<vps-ip> or set up your own rebinder. Confirm whether validator and fetcher resolve at different times.

46. SSRF via redirect chain (medium)

Submit attacker-controlled URL that 302s to http://169.254.169.254/. Many fetchers validate the first URL only.

47. SSRF via SVG external entities (medium)

Upload SVG referencing <image href="http://internal-host/">. Check if rasterizer fetches it.

48. SSRF in SAML / OIDC metadata URLs (hard)

If app fetches IdP metadata from user-supplied URL, point it at internal services.

49. SSRF via Slack/Discord previews (medium)

Force unfurl/preview service to hit internal services; check returned previews for leaked content.

50. SSRF via CSV/XLSX import URLs (medium)

Some importers accept remote URLs. Probe with internal addresses and exotic schemes (file:, ftp:, dict:).

51. Bypass IP filter with decimals/hex (medium)

Try http://2130706433/, http://0x7f000001/, http://0177.0.0.1/, http://127.1/, http://[::1]/, http://[::ffff:127.0.0.1]/.

52. SSRF to internal admin panels (medium)

Enumerate common internal ports: 80, 443, 8080, 8443, 8500 (Consul), 8080 (Jenkins), 9200 (ES), 5601 (Kibana), 2375 (Docker).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ssrf is a skill published in the GitHub repository sanjaysaini1952/BugBounty-Arsenal (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,124 tokens. A static security scan graded it C with 1 finding (cloud metadata endpoint). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
