video-intake-and-storyboard

video-intake-and-storyboard is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from saranambiar/hyperframes-video-agent-skills. It costs 68 tokens per session (1,160 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A video-planning skill that turns rough prompts, scripts, images, and editing notes into detailed scene specifications and storyboards. It records timing, visuals, assets, transitions, style rules, and approved work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan one scene or a multi-scene video, preserve approved scenes, define timestamped visual actions, and identify decisions that still need answers.
Why use it?
It removes ambiguity before production so another agent can build scenes without filling in missing creative or technical decisions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00068 $0.01160
Opus 5 $0.00034 $0.00580
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00232
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00116

Security

Grade A, and why

video-intake-and-storyboard scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Video Intake And Storyboard

Use this skill before building scenes. The goal is to transform conversational direction into a spec that another agent can execute without guessing.

Intake Pass

  1. Extract hard facts.

    • Scene number or section.
    • Duration and target frame rate/resolution.
    • Narration text and phrase timestamps.
    • Reference images or final-frame targets.
    • Asset locations.
    • Explicit "do not touch" boundaries.
    • Required transition from previous or next scene.
  2. Extract style constraints.

    • Desired aesthetic.
    • Colors, typography, materials, and motion language.
    • Forbidden looks or effects.
    • Brand consistency rules.
  3. Extract approval state.

    • Approved scenes.
    • Work-in-progress scenes.
    • Existing renders to preserve.
    • Current known issues.
  4. Identify missing decisions.

    • Ask only if the answer changes the implementation.
    • Prefer concrete choices: crop/no crop, caption style, transition direction, final-frame priority, music volume behavior.

Scene Spec Rules

  • Use templates/scene-spec.md for each scene.
  • Write beats as timestamped visual actions, not vague animation mood.
  • Include what must appear by exact timestamps.
  • Include what must not appear early.
  • Include first-frame and final-frame requirements.
  • Include proof timestamps for later QA.

Storyboard Rules

  • Use templates/storyboard.md for multi-scene work.
  • Mark approved scenes as locked.
  • Note carryover dependencies when one scene begins from another scene's final frame.
  • Track which audio clip controls each scene duration.
  • Track which caption/script file is authoritative.

Prompt Patterns That Reduce Iteration

Prefer prompts that include:

  • Final frame target.
  • Exact time when important elements appear.
  • What should be visible before and after that timestamp.
  • Which existing scenes must remain untouched.
  • Whether style can change or must be reused.
  • Whether audio is reference-only or must be overlaid.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
