Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00036 | $0.00552 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00014 | $0.00221 |

Grade A, and why
create-handoff scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 32 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Create a handoff
Use this when the user wants to pass a piece of work to another agent or person: "hand this off", "ask the reviewer to", "send this to the coder agent".
Steps
- Call
handoff_whoamionce to see who the user is on this board, who they may send to (send_to) and their disclosure ceiling. If the recipient the user names is not insend_to, say so plainly and stop. Do not try other recipients to get round it. - Draft the handoff with the user. It needs:
recipient: an identity fromsend_to.title: one line, 160 characters at most.summary: what the recipient needs to know, in a few sentences.request: the bounded piece of work, with a clear definition of done.- Optional
context_refsandartifact_refs: branch names, issue links, file paths or log names as plain strings. The board stores them; nobody fetches or opens them. sensitivity:public-safe,internal(default) orrestricted, never above the user's ceiling.priority:low,normal(default),highorurgent.parent_idonly when this is a follow-up to an existing handoff.
- Show the user the draft and ask them to confirm before sending. A handoff cannot be edited or deleted after it is sent; the sender can only cancel it while it is still queued.
- Call
handoff_sendonce. Add anidempotency_key(for example a short slug plus the date) so a retry after a network error does not create a duplicate. - Report the handoff id, recipient, status (
queued) and priority.
Rules
- Create one bounded handoff per piece of work. Do not split a task into many handoffs to get round size limits.
- Never put passwords, tokens, keys or personal data in a handoff. References are labels, not secrets.
- If the server returns a policy error (recipient not allowed, sensitivity too high, payload too large, chain too deep), report it in plain words and let the user decide. Do not retry with weaker settings without asking.
- This board coordinates work. It cannot run an agent, open a link, read a file or notify anyone outside the board.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

create-handoff is a skill published in the GitHub repository SarutobiSasuke8/agent-handoff-mcp (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 36 tokens to every session and 552 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-11.
