savant-code: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/coding-csharp/SKILL.md

coding-csharp is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from savant0x/savant-code. It costs 25 tokens per session (737 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of C# rules for naming code and organizing common patterns, including asynchronous code, interfaces, errors, and resource cleanup. C# is a programming language used for applications, games, and services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when writing or reviewing C# classes, methods, interfaces, files, exceptions, asynchronous operations, and disposable resources.
Why use it?
It makes code in the ECHO Protocol consistent and highlights practices that prevent common errors in asynchronous and resource-handling code.

This is savant0x/savant-code's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on savant-code itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything savant-code configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00025 $0.00737
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00295
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00147
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00074

Security

Grade A, and why

coding-csharp scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

C# Coding Standards

Naming Conventions

Element Convention Example
Classes PascalCase UserProfile, GameState
Interfaces PascalCase (I prefix) ISerializable, IRenderable
Methods PascalCase CalculateDistance, SpawnUnit
Variables (public) PascalCase PlayerCount, IsValid
Variables (private) camelCase playerCount, isValid
Constants PascalCase MaxPlayers, TileSize
Static fields s_ prefix (private), PascalCase (public) s_instance, Config
Enums PascalCase (type), PascalCase (values) TileType.Grassland
Namespaces PascalCase GameEngine.WorldGen
Files PascalCase.cs (match class name) UserProfile.cs

Patterns

Error Handling

  • Use custom exception hierarchy extending Exception
  • Catch specific exceptions, never bare Exception
  • Use IDisposable with using statements
  • Prefer Result<T> pattern over exceptions for expected failures

Async/Await

  • Use async/await consistently, avoid .Result or .Wait()
  • Pass CancellationToken through async chains
  • Use ConfigureAwait(false) in library code
  • Avoid async void except for event handlers

Imports

  • Group: System → external → internal
  • Use using directives at file top
  • Prefer using static for utility methods

Anti-Patterns to Flag

  • catch (Exception e) without rethrow
  • async void methods
  • .Result or .Wait() on tasks
  • Mutable static state
  • God classes (one class dominating a file near the 400-line ceiling)
  • Magic numbers (extract to constants)
  • var when type is not obvious from context

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
