hook-publisher

hook-publisher is a skill for Claude Code from sean-sunagaku/claude-code-plugin. It costs 137 tokens per session (1,515 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A packaging helper for publishing Claude Code hook scripts, which run commands when tools or events occur. It places hooks in the expected plugin folders and prepares the plugin metadata.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to publish, move, copy, or package a hook in a Claude Code plugin repository, including PostToolUse hooks.
Why use it?
It removes the manual work of arranging files and registering a hook plugin. It also checks the hook structure and looks for duplicates before publishing.

Skill for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: PostToolUse hook event. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths.

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is python3 .claude/hooks/log-agent-messages/hook.py.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00137 $0.01515
Opus 5 $0.00068 $0.00758
Sonnet 5 $0.00027 $0.00303
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00152

Measured 8d ago against content hash a4b4874ff609, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

hook-publisher scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/publish-hook.sh, scripts/validate-hook.sh), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

plugin.json の構成

Hook プラグインの plugin.json には hook の登録設定を含める:

{
  "name": "<hook-plugin-name>",
  "version": "<version>",
  "description": "...",
  "hooks": {
    "<HookEvent>": [
      {
        "matcher": "<ToolName>",
        "hooks": [
          {
            "type": "command",
            "command": "python3 \"$HOME/.claude/plugins/cache/<marketplace>/<hook-plugin-name>/<version>/hooks/<hook-name>/hook.py\""
          }
        ]
      }
    ]
  }
}

HookEvent: PreToolUse, PostToolUse, Stop

HOME/.claude/plugins/cache/<marketplace>/<plugin-name>/<version>/hooks/<hook-name>/hook.py

python3 "$HOME/.claude/plugins/cache/sunagaku-marketplace/agent-teams-log/1.0.0/hooks/log-agent-messages/hook.py"

NG パターン(プロジェクトローカル依存):

python3 .claude/hooks/log-agent-messages/hook.py

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
