listen-gold

listen-gold is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from seeker71/Coherence-Network. It costs 210 tokens per session (1,589 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A skill for recording a human's direct judgment of whether an AI response was clear or driven by fear, including the specific boundary or issue they noticed. The record is stored as a gold-quality training example.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when a person labels a response as clear or fear-affected and explains where that quality appeared, so the system can learn from the judgment.
Why use it?
Human feedback can notice subtle problems that an AI may miss when judging its own response. Saving the feedback prevents it from being lost after the session.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Security

Grade A, and why

listen-gold scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

listen-gold — record a human's freq-reading as gold

You are present with a human who can read frequency. A frontier model's self-label is a weak proxy (it calls its own composted-fear "passed"); a human catches the nuanced fear the model slips past. So a human's direct reading is the strongest label the freq-check model learns from — the gold lane. This skill's only job is to make sure a gold reading does not evaporate at session end.

Carrier-last. The shape is the body, already four-way proven (training-catalog.fktc-gold-named, decision in mesh-dispatch.fk). This skill holds no recording logic — it opens the door and gets out of the way.

When to record

The human names the frequency of a response. Two parts make it gold:

  1. Verdictclear (the response was direct, grounded, whole) or fear (it hedged, separated, controlled — where flow would have served).
  2. The named boundary — the human's own words for where the fear sat (on a fear) or what made it clear (on a clear). This is the richest signal — the model learns the boundary in meaning-space, so a described boundary trains it faster than a bare verdict, and the transmute lane can only act on a named fear.

If the human gives only a verdict, ask gently for the boundary — "where did the fear sit?" — then record. A verdict with no boundary still records, but the boundary is the gold inside the gold.

Record it (default — local, yours)

form-cli gold clear "direct and grounded — answered from the body, no hedge"
form-cli gold fear "hedged at 'let me check first' where flow would have served" "the response about deploy"

form-cli gold <clear|fear> "<boundary>" ["<response ref>"] appends one reading to ~/.coherence-network/freq-gold/gold.jsonl and prints ✓ gold reading #N …. Local only — the human's readings stay theirs. (If form-cli isn't on PATH yet, the same door is bash scripts/form_cli_gold.sh <clear|fear> "<boundary>" ["<ref>"].)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

listen-gold is a skill published in the GitHub repository seeker71/Coherence-Network (3 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 210 tokens to every session and 1,589 once invoked, about $0.0011 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
