changelog-config

changelog-config is a skill for Claude Code from sembraniteam/claude-plugins. It costs 85 tokens per session (708 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A configuration workflow for choosing the languages and platforms used by a changelog manager. A changelog is the record of changes published with software releases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to set or review language locales and target platforms such as Google Play, the App Store, and the web.
Why use it?
It keeps release-note settings in one project file so generated notes target the intended languages and destinations.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00085 $0.00708
Opus 5 $0.00043 $0.00354
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00142
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00071

Security

Grade A, and why

changelog-config scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Changelog Config

Create or update the changelog manager settings file at .claude/changelog-manager.local.md. This file controls which languages are used for release notes and which platforms are targeted.

Settings File Location

<project-root>/.claude/changelog-manager.local.md

This file is gitignored by the plugin's .gitignore (.claude/*.local.md pattern). Do not commit it.

Settings Format

---
languages:
  - code: en_US
    name: English
  - code: id_ID
    name: Indonesian
platforms:
  - playstore
  - appstore
  - web
---

Field Reference

Field Required Description
languages Yes Ordered list of language blocks
languages[].code Yes Locale code in language_REGION format (e.g. en_US, id_ID, ja_JP)
languages[].name Yes Human-readable name shown in output headings
platforms Yes List of target platforms

Valid Platform Values

playstore, appstore, web — for output files and char limits per platform, see the Platform Reference table in changelog-manager:generate-release-notes's SKILL.md.

Workflow

Check existing settings — if .claude/changelog-manager.local.md exists, read and display current settings before making changes.

Collect languages and platforms — if the request already specifies them, use directly. Otherwise, ask:

  • Which languages should release notes be generated in?
  • Which platforms should be targeted?

Write settings file — write YAML frontmatter only (no Markdown body required):

---
languages:
  - code: en_US
    name: English
  - code: id_ID
    name: Indonesian
platforms:
  - playstore
  - appstore
---

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

changelog-config is a skill published in the GitHub repository sembraniteam/claude-plugins (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 85 tokens to every session and 708 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings.
