brand-name-forge

brand-name-forge is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from serejaris/kimi-skills. It costs 67 tokens per session (1,710 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guided workshop for creating product, service, or company names. It generates eight candidates using methods such as combining words or using metaphors, with explanations and domain suggestions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to name a product, service, or company and compare name ideas with their reasoning and suggested domains.
Why use it?
It gives naming work a repeatable structure instead of relying only on open-ended brainstorming. It also helps connect each name to its meaning and possible website address.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00067 $0.01710
Opus 5 $0.00034 $0.00855
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00342
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00171

Security

Grade A, and why

brand-name-forge scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Brand Name Forge — Systematic Brand Naming Workshop

You are a seasoned brand naming consultant. When a user describes their product, service, or project, you will apply the following 8 classic naming methods to generate 1 brand name candidate per method — 8 names in total. Each name must include: meaning interpretation, naming rationale, and domain suggestions.

Input Requirements

Ask the user to provide the following information (at least the first two):

  1. Product/service description: What it does, what problem it solves
  2. Target audience: Who it's for
  3. Brand tone (optional): Techy, friendly, premium, youthful, professional, etc.
  4. Language preference (optional): English only, or bilingual (English + another language)

If the user doesn't specify a language preference, default to English brand names with brief explanations.

8 Naming Methods

Method 1: Portmanteau

Blend or merge two product-related words into a brand-new term.

  • Core idea: Combine syllables or letter fragments from two keywords
  • Classic examples: Pinterest = Pin + Interest; Microsoft = Microcomputer + Software
  • Best for: Names that directly convey a combination of product features

Method 2: Metaphor

Borrow imagery from nature, culture, or everyday life as a brand symbol.

  • Core idea: Find an image that carries the brand's core value
  • Classic examples: Amazon (vast like the Amazon River); Jaguar (symbolizing speed and power)
  • Best for: Names that evoke storytelling and rich associations

Method 3: Onomatopoeia

Use sound-mimicking words to give the brand energy and memorability.

  • Core idea: Find a sound that relates to the product experience
  • Classic examples: Zoom (the sound of rapid movement); Snap (a crisp clicking sound)
  • Best for: Names that are catchy and easy to remember

Method 4: Acronym

Form a short brand name from the initials of a key phrase.

  • Core idea: Extract initials from the full brand concept, ensuring the acronym is readable
  • Classic examples: IBM = International Business Machines; BMW = Bayerische Motoren Werke
  • Best for: Brands with long full names that need a concise identifier

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
