admin-ui-builder

admin-ui-builder is a skill for Codex from sergekostenchuk/ui-ux-agent-skill-system. It costs 58 tokens per session (354 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A guide for designing or handing off administration screens such as tables, forms, editors, moderation queues, dashboards, and create/read/update/delete interfaces. It also covers loading, empty, error, permission, confirmation, audit, and rollback states.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to specify admin and content-management screens, prepare local implementation tasks, and check that their states and safety requirements are covered.
Why use it?
It helps prevent admin screens from ignoring permissions, destructive actions, or important failure states.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.00354
Opus 5 $0.00029 $0.00177
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00071
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00035

Measured 9d ago against content hash ffc249706533, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

admin-ui-builder scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Admin UI Builder

This skill builds or specifies admin UI surfaces under an existing admin architecture contract.

Operating Modes

  • screen-spec: define admin screens, states, forms, tables, filters, and validation.
  • implementation-handoff: prepare local UI implementation tasks.
  • state-coverage: cover empty, loading, error, permission denied, audit, and confirm states.

Required Workflow

  1. Read references/admin-ui-build-contract.md.
  2. Use assets/admin-screen-spec.template.md.
  3. Confirm roles, permissions, destructive actions, and audit requirements from admin-ui-orchestrator.
  4. Do not hide security and permission states for visual simplicity.

Safety Rules

  • Do not run production admin mutations.
  • Every destructive action needs explicit confirmation UI and rollback/audit story.
  • Never expose secrets, tokens, private customer data, or raw logs in UI examples.

Validation

Files

What ships with it

4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
