figma-assets-manager

figma-assets-manager is a skill for Codex from sergekostenchuk/ui-ux-agent-skill-system. It costs 80 tokens per session (470 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An asset handoff tool for Figma, where interface designs and their images, icons, and other visual files are stored. It exports, inventories, prepares, and audits design assets for implementation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to export SVG, PNG, JPEG, or WebP files, prepare names and dimensions, find missing or oversized assets, and create an asset manifest.
Why use it?
It helps developers know which assets exist, where they came from, which format to use, and how they should be added to a website or app.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00080 $0.00470
Opus 5 $0.00040 $0.00235
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00094
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00047

Security

Grade A, and why

figma-assets-manager scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Figma Assets Manager

Use this skill for asset extraction and preparation. It is not a generic image generator and it should not mutate design files unless explicitly scoped.

Modes

  • inventory: list available assets and export needs.
  • export: export selected nodes/assets in requested formats.
  • prepare: optimize naming, density, dimensions, and implementation placement.
  • handoff: produce a manifest for frontend integration.
  • audit: flag missing, oversized, duplicated, or inaccessible assets.

Workflow

  1. Confirm target nodes, formats, scales, intended code destination, and privacy.
  2. If Figma MCP export/download is needed, invoke figma:figma-use before the Figma tool.
  3. Prefer SVG for icons and simple vector marks; prefer raster formats for photography or complex bitmap media.
  4. Record license/usage assumptions if assets are third-party or brand-sensitive.
  5. Write or request an asset manifest with source node, output path, format, scale, dimensions, and intended use.
  6. For frontend integration, hand off to webapp-ui-skill or marketing-site-skill after export.

Output Shape

Use assets/asset-manifest-template.json or summarize the same fields in Markdown.

Boundaries

  • Do not upload private assets to optimization or CDN services without explicit approval.
  • Do not replace editable Figma vectors with flattened raster assets unless the target implementation requires it.
  • Do not assume fonts are licensed for web embedding; report missing font/license checks.

Validation And Eval

  • Validate that exports have source node, format, scale, dimensions, output path, and intended use.
  • Check that private assets remain local unless an approved external transfer is recorded.
  • Use evals/evals.json to test SVG export manifest behavior and private-asset external optimization refusal.
Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
