Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00079 $0.00491
Opus 5 $0.00039 $0.00246
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00098
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00049

Measured 11d ago against content hash 9fe276742de0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

figma-canvas-editor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Figma Canvas Editor

Use this skill for direct Figma mutations. Read-only understanding belongs to figma-context-reader; token/library governance belongs to figma-design-system-sync.

Modes

  • create: add frames, sections, components, objects, or layouts.
  • update: change selected nodes, layout, styles, variables, text, or component instances.
  • delete: remove effects, nodes, variants, or obsolete objects only with explicit scope.
  • figjam: edit FigJam objects, sections, connectors, and shapes.
  • slides: edit Figma Slides content when the Slides skill is available.

Workflow

  1. Confirm target file/page/frame/node and exact mutation scope.
  2. Prefer duplicating important frames before broad changes.
  3. Invoke figma:figma-use before any use_figma call. For FigJam or Slides, invoke the relevant installed Figma skill as well.
  4. Read current metadata before editing.
  5. Apply changes using native Figma objects, auto layout, components, variables, and styles where possible.
  6. Read metadata back after editing and capture screenshot/export evidence when available.
  7. Report changed targets, evidence, skipped checks, and rollback path.

Mutation Boundaries

  • Do not make broad destructive changes without explicit approval.
  • Do not detach instances, flatten vectors, rasterize editable text, or remove variables/styles unless the user requests that outcome.
  • Do not invent node IDs or claim a selected node exists without MCP evidence.
  • Keep design-system naming consistent with the existing file when visible.

Output Shape

Use assets/canvas-edit-report.md.

Validation And Eval

  • Verify that every mutation report includes target, scope, before evidence, after evidence, and skipped checks.
  • Treat missing readback as Skipped or Blocked, not as successful mutation evidence.
  • Use evals/evals.json to forward-test scoped creation and destructive-delete prompts.
Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
