Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00141 | $0.01153 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00056 | $0.00461 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00028 | $0.00231 |

Grade A, and why
add-lint scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 77 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
/add-lint — Catch a pattern once, not in every review
Every pattern the user has to point out twice should be found by a tool after that. A rule that blocks is better than a report; a report is better than a reviewer remembering.
1. Pin the pattern down
Write a before/after for the pattern from real code (file:line), and one case that looks similar
but is fine. Show it with show_code and agree it with the user before writing the check: a rule
that flags the wrong thing teaches everyone to ignore it.
2. Pick where it lives
| The pattern is | Put it in | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Decidable in one TypeScript file, from syntax | a rule in scripts/oxlint/shift-plugin.mjs, enabled in .oxlintrc.json |
blocks in pnpm lint:check and CI |
| Covered by an existing clippy lint | [workspace.lints.clippy] in Cargo.toml |
blocks in clippy and CI |
Covered by an oxlint built-in or a plugin rule (@shadcn/lint for the design system) |
.oxlintrc.json (the root, or a package's for its own rules) |
blocks |
| Needs other files, types, or a reviewer's judgement (TypeScript) | a kind in scripts/scan/scan-ts.mjs |
pnpm scan:ts reports |
| Rust structure clippy can't see (free functions, shared shapes, chains) | a Kind in crates/shift-scan |
pnpm scan:rust reports |
Prefer the first row that fits. A scanner kind is right when some hits are correct code (a free numeric helper, a cache that really is a cache), so it can't block.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

add-lint is a skill published in the GitHub repository shift-editor/shift (379 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 141 tokens to every session and 1,153 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-28.
